Javi could well be the most underrated player in the league. RSL desperately needed another forward last season to avoid dropping two points over and over. If Escalada is that guy, Javi could lead the league in assists this year, and RSL could be dominant.

Couldn't you at least find an archive photo of Javi playing and not this ridiculous line 'em up and shoot 'em shot mug shot? Use a photo of him doing what he does best, playing amazing soccer!

I hope he's a lot better than Juan Pablo Angel. Otherwise he's never going to see the ball!

Um..Soundersfan, have you watched MLS before the Sounders game last week? Morales is a MIDFIELDER, not a target striker like Angel. Moreover, he is a HUGE step up from Jorge Rojas, who you saw last week in the "same" role. Wait until Saturday and we'll see if Morales "sees" the ball.

Angel plays forward, Javi is attacking Midfield, he will see plenty of the ball, even if the Sounders are as brilliant as you claim.

My experience with this team has been most gracious and I feel that this is our year to take it to the top. Scrimmage on Saturday was magnificent. It was really a kick. Let's hope goal for this team is to go all the way. Don't penalize the fans who support so much. Team needs to banana kick their way to the playoffs, breakaway from the competition and corner kick their way into the championship. I look forward to "header"ing down to the Rio Tinto each week with my scarf, my flag and my new chants. He is our equivalent of John Stockton, people. I love watching him play... my wife last Saturday was like "ooh! who's that? he's good!!!"

I am SO excited for the season this year!!!!

In my opinion javi was last years mvp.. For some reason he didn't really get the credit he deserved
