After a year we have seen that most of this case has gone nowhere. Ms. Malonis seems to think that constitutional rights are a violation of the law.
While I do think Mr. Jessop should go to jail for violating either statutory rape or plural marriage laws, he should not be held in contempt of court or in otherwise penalized for pleading the 5th Admendment. To do so would be a violation of the admendment, since a right to not be forced to testify against yourself implies that you can not be penalized for invoking the right.

This is the ultimate shutting the barn door after the horse has escaped. It'd be easier to shove toothpaste back in a tube.

This isn't over yet. I don't feel one bit sorry for any of these criminals. Let's just let it play out. I hope Warren Jeffs and the others are in the slammer for life.

You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube, perhaps, but you can get a lawyer out of the courtroom. The world could use fewer lawyers like this Nancy Grace wannabe, who only pretend to help their clients while actively working against them.

After the raid, the FLDS spoke to many media outlets in an effort to manipulate public opinion, spin the story and cast themselves as poor, innocent farm folk being persecuted for their religion.

Teresa Jeffs spoke publicly and released a lot of information to discredit her lawyer, including claiming that there was no evidence that she had ever been married (which we now know to be a lie).

But, according to the FLDS double-standard, if Malonis speaks to the media she's the worst lawyer in the world. Give me a break!

Regardless of what happened before, during, and after the raid, the FLDS should be able to get their personal belongings back such as pictures, books, bibles, and other things that were their personal belongings. Its sort of like of a house fire that robs everyone of their whole life belongings and people are stunned when the fire is over and all of their stuff is gone. Most people usually rummage through the left overs to salvage what they can. I hope they do get their things back and can move on with their lives.

It is so sad to know that these men are still controlling this young girl. She honestly believes that being forced to marry at 15 is acceptable in America. If that does not show just how horrible the FLDS is then I don't know what would. Her mother and fatehr should be punished for selling their child into sexual slavery.

FLDS photos and writing have been kept because they are evidence in the indictments. They demonstrate crimes being committed. So it's a little bizarre that the FLDS wants them back.

I mean, why would anyone want to keep a photo of their 12-year-old daughter being french-kissed by a 50-year-old man? It's not exactly one for the scrapbooks!
