All terrorist deserve life is prison and being ordered to pay 10 times the amount of damage and/ or loss for each mink turned loose and / or dead. They should be ordered to pay for all their incarceration, since their are criminals and don't deserve state money for their care. Lets REALLY start looking out for the RIGHTS of the victims. The criminals gave up their RIGHTS when they choose to break the law. There is not a justified or intelligent reason for the criminals/ terrorist actions.

Richard, Jordan didn't break any laws. Read the article before getting your panties in a bunch.

Jordan is fighting for his rights and ours.

Minks released from mink farm. Minks get run over by cars and killed by predators. Is Utah even a viable habitat for the mink? Way to drive your point home guys. I'm in no way advocating the wearing of fur, but is this a logical answer?

NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO COMMIT VIOLENT ACTS THIS IS NOT FREE SPEECH. Speech dose not include destroying property, on endangering someones life or livelihood
You Miss the Point | 5:36 p.m. March 24, 2009
No violent acts were committed and no one's life was endangered. Animal rights activists are not terrorists as the FBI would like you to believe. Terrorists kill people and fly planes in to buildings and blow up Federal buildings. Jordan is not accused of any crime other than refusal to answer questions before a grand jury or contempt of court. For this and this only he is being held in jail. It would be nice if people would stay on topic and not be so offensive and abusive in their comments. The topic is about the grand jury and Jordan's constitutional and human rights being violated by our courts who should be the ones protecting those rights. What happened to our rights that people are innocent until proven guilty? Many who have made comment already have these kids tried and found guilty before their cases have even been heard. It makes one wonder how they would ever find an impartial jury and receive a fair trial. Do you think they may be a little embarrassed when these kids are found innocent.

wouldnt you know people are acusing those of us who know what the bill of rights says of being terrorist too. pay attention people, he was arrested because he wouldnt talk..you simple minded folk see "terrorist" and figured the kid killed someone or did something SO HORRIBLY out of line he's in the situation, fact is he didnt do anything & he's "in trouble" for it. I guess your mind has to take his dilemma & make "sence" of it so you assume hes guilty of something when he's not. hang in there Jordan!!

I hope justice is served, and all of you get what the law will allow. You violate another's rights, and when you get caught you think that you have been dealt an injustice. No one has the right to infringe on someone Else's livelihood, destroy their property, and think they can get away with it in the name of humanity. As for the FBI labeling you as Terrorists, "Anyone who in anyway threatens another person, his property, or family, in my state is charged with terroristic threatening" and we handle it as we need to.

If a person releases mink from their cages without committing an act of violence (or threatening an act of violence), then it's difficult to label him or her a "terrorist" regardless of his or her motivations and the group he or she associates with. As a term, "terrorist" (and "terrorism") is widely misused and abused in our society. While animal release (by itself) is undoubtedly illegal, that does not necessarily place the act in the terrorism category. (I base my assessment on the readings and discussions from the Global Terrorism graduate seminar I'm enrolled in.) Also, I'd like to add that mink have only been farm raised for about 100 years or so and research indicates that the species is far from domesticated (as reported in the journal Nature). This means they may very well survive when reintroduced into the wild.
