um, I remember seeing her in the movie Gothica. She was very beautiful. It is sad that they couldn't find away to save her.

It saddens me to see a vibrant mother, wife and actress have her life cut short by such an unfortunate accident. But to have legislation for mandatory ski helmets is not the answer. Even the doctors involved said that in this case, it would not have helped. In cases where there is a hard hit or bang, it would not help at all. It would help with minor wounds, but as was said - it could make someone overconfident and wreckless in their behavior and thinking that the helmet would stop any injury from happening.

I'm sorry to see Natasha go.

IMy prayers go out to Liam Neeson and their children and all of Richardson's family and close friends. Natasha Richardson brought a lot of class to the screen.

certainly is, but mandatory helmets i just do not agree. It should be your choice to take the risk, not government telling you. I do not like wearing helmets in any sport, I choose to take that risk. no more governmental control, we have enough.

We need some government control so that people know how to take better precautions against accidents. We also need government controls so that people who cannot spell the word "tradgedy" cannot get out of elementary school and plague society with their stupidity!

This is very sad. I loved her in "The Comfort of Strangers", "Asylum", "Past Midnight" and "Handmaid's Tale".

If I'm not mistaken, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn has the power to bring her back!

Governmental control is not necessary. I can understand the government mandating the use of seat belts because on occasion you not wearing it can infringe on the rights of others i.e. becoming a projectile and killing those in front of you. If a person chooses not to wear a helmet on the slopes and suffers death due to a head injury that is their own choice and it does not infringe upon the rights of others, meaning there is no need for regulation.
