Thank you for spotlighting Vocal Point and the talent of James Stevens! They are inspirational to so many people - and just plain FUN!

I am so excited to see Vocal Point in the news. Having been a Vocal Point fan for many years, I was in the New York audience when they took top International honors. It was an amazing experience. I applaud the Deseret News for giving this outstanding vocal group a pat on the back. The men who have participated in Vocal Point over the years have set a high standard for musical and personal excellence and deserve some recognition. My young grandchildren and 86 year old Mother have enjoyed their concerts tremendously over the years. Vocal Point's latest CD is masterful and has something for everyone. My personal favorite is James Stevens singing his arrangement of "Near My God To Thee". But what can I say? I'm a fan. Thanks again Deseret News for giving your readers something to look forward to....a Vocal Point concert or NonStop CD. :)

FYI: Vocal Point didn't win ICCA semi-finals in 2004-05 it was a group from University of Oregon, Divisi.

You're right acappelle1. VP won the semi's in 2002. That was the first year the turned down the opportunity to complete in New York because the finals were on Sunday.
