Just to let you know, MU's head coach is Buzz Williams, not Buzz Peterson.

Think about it...we have a legitimate chance of making some noise in the Tourney! One game at a time, and just leave it all on the floor! No regrets.

Go Utah State!

To be realistic, Marquette has at least 7 guys more athletic than Pooh Williams, and they are disciplined basketball players. USU gets beat tomorrow. I wish I were wrong.

If Aggies Show Up | 2:06 p.m. March 19, 2009
Marquette will drop. USU is practically at home for the game tomorrow. Stew and the boys should be prepared and pumped up to play. You know the fans will be in full force.

The Aggies are the best shooting team in the nation, as well as being one of the least selfish teams in the country. USU this year has shown the heart to finish tough games.

Look for the Aggies to advance to round two and to give Missouri all they can handle.

Go Big Blue!!!!

It is interesting that for once the computers and the prognosticators are tending to agree. Looking at the Sagarin ratings the two team are separated by a little over 2 points, when you add in the home court factor (the effect of playing in Boise has got to be basically the same as playing at home for USU) Sagarin calculates that USU is on top according to his computer model.

USA Today has 2 out 3 of its analysts picking USU. CNN is split 3 to 2 for Marquette.

I think the most likely outcome is a USU win in a close game. This should be fun. :-)

Do some research | 7:03 p.m. March 19, 2009
Tony Benford was hired by Doc Sadler at UTEP away from Utah State on July 21st, nine days after coach Morrill had hired him. Later that summer, Barry Collier, who was the coach at Nebraska resigned to become the Athletics Director at his alma mater Butler University. Nebraska later hired Sadler to replace Collier. Benford then interviewed for the head coaching job at UTEP which went to Tony Barbee. Sadler then hired Benford to join him at Nebraska.

It's hard to take anything in this article seriously when you get the name of Marquette's coach wrong, you blow the story of Tony Benford, you fail to list ANY "expert" who though Marquette was slighted by a six seed.

Whomever allowed you to write an article should be fired.

Cautiously Optimistic | 10:12 p.m. March 19, 2009
They Aggies will put up a tough fight, but the odds are STILL in Marquette's favor. Aggies have to come out strong and play their kind of ball. I would be feeling better if we had won the game at St. Mary's. The WAC has some good teams, but I worry it isn't enough prep for Utah State in these tougher games.

Marquette is down one very important player and that could give Utah State an edge.

I am hoping they will pull it off. You can bet that there will be a sea of Aggie blue in Boise.

Go Aggies.

Top 25 team? ha ha | 10:59 a.m. March 20, 2009
are you serious. more like top 225. just shows how the voters in the poll don't actually watch any games otherwise USU wouldn't have got a single vote.
