The Lime Souffles are amazingly creative. It is fun to see how inventive dutch oven cooks get. This is gourmet level for sure.
I am wondering about the wee plates of carrots, celery and crackers in several of the shots. Are they eaten as palate cleansers for the judges?
What an awesome cook-off! All the food was amazing. D, you're right - the carrots, grapes, and crackers are to cleanse the judges' palates between dishes. Ranes Carter did a great job running the event.
Congratulations to Terry and Tori.
Congratsulations Terry and Tori? Has anyone ever won the world championships more than twice? How many have ever won more than once?
Terri is the only one who has wone worlds more than once.
Is there a book or site where someone could get all of these recipes. I think my book needs to expand - I am excited to try the bread!
The International Dutch Oven Society has a cookbook available with all 93 recipes entered for the championship cook-off and it's preliminaries which were held at the Salt Lake City 2009 International Sportsmans' Exposition available for $10.00.
Look up IDOS in the Internet for more information.
Congrats Terri and Tori! Great Job!

Congratulations Terry, you are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terry you are awesome!!!! my wife and myshelf are so happy for you.
What an incredible event! I especially liked the personal story of the winners! KUDOS to Ranes Carter, he is an exceptional organizer, is more than fair, and did an incredible job!
I have to agree that I thought it was an excellent event. All the teams did very well this year. It was a tough competition. I can't include a URL with this post, but there is a lot of information about all the teams and dishes on the IDOS forums. Just do a search for IDOS and it should pull up. Recipe books can be found there as well. ~ Thanks to everyone for the compliments.
Congratulations Terry! I am so happy for you and Tori. Sounds like Hawaii might be calling your names. Enjoy the moment!!
