Rush Limbaugh is not the leader of the Republican Party. It's just the media and the democrats who are claiming that he is. He is not and never will be a candidate for president. He's just a political entertainer that many Republicans like to listen to. If you can get past his ego, many of his ideas and political stands are right on. That doesn't mean I like him as a person or agree with everything he says.
Huntsman must go. Get out of my state. I and many other conservatives will campaign for a conservative to replace you.
What?
So the title of the article is
"Huntsman Trounces Limbaugh in National Poll"
and the last line of the article is...
"Huntsman was not included as an alternative on the poll."
That's some quality journalism right there.
Nice the see the DN taking a page out of the National Enquirers Playbook.
bravo, bravo....
I knew there was something about Huntsman that I liked.
Good move.
The far-right is poison.
governor huntsman is the best governor utah has had in quite a while. his approach of moderation is best for citizens/taxpayers.
Let's see. A Democratic strategy group conducts a poll that says more people agree with moderate/borderline liberal policies than with traditional conservative policies. Ok, got it. Thanks for the update.
If huntsman is the leader of the rebulican party, im going democratic. long live RUSH!!!
The Republican Party will ALWAYS flounder in the middle. We learned that in the last 8 years as Bush slowly moved to the middle and away from the conservative principles he ran on in 2000 and we saw it again with McCain in the last election. There are far more votes further to the right for the Republicans than the wishy-washy votes in the middle. Those that want the Republican Party to move to the middle should get their own party and start there.
Rush is not the leader of the Republican Party, but he is a voice of conservatives. He knows that the middle is a death trap for Republicans...and I agree.
Rush Limbaugh (and his 20 million cool-aid drinkers) certainly IS the GOP leader.
Sorry GOP.
You get what you wish for.
Might as well go for a Palin/Limbaugh ticket in 2012.
If America wants Huntsman, let them have him. When Obama picked Kansas Gov. Sibelius to a little-consequent post as health advisor, the conservative senators in her state literally tore their hamstrings to get to a microphone and proclaim it the "best selection ever."
One of Utah's best days will be when some favorable national breeze blows Huntsman away from us and Utah is a distant spot in his rear view mirror.
Whether he is legitimately the leader of the party, never underestimate the power of a blowhard talk-radio personality.
"Rush Limbaugh is not the leader of the Republican Party. It's just the media and the democrats who are claiming that he is."
Rush called himself the leader of the Republican party, and a bunch of his listeners would seem to agree. Check out websites like freerepublic . Lots of people there would like to see Rush over the current leader of the Republican party, Michael Steele.
I can't wait to vote for Huntsman for President in 2012. He's exactly what the GOP needs, a conservative leader looking forward.
Why such contempt for the middle/moderate point of view? My belief is that average folks from both parties tend to be in the middle on most issues. We are looking for a compromise that leaves all sane views respected. The far right and the far left are clearly over represented on TV and radio.
The question I really have is: why do americans choose to hate each other so much?
I can't imagine Jesus having anything to do with either of these parties.
Rush is a bigoted ultra conservative hate mongering blowhard. I'm a republican and he sure doesn't reflect what I believe are the basic tennants of the republican party. Rush needs to move down south and cater to the needs of the rest of the racist repugs.
Like it or not, Limbaugh is in fact the public face of the Republican party. He earns 100 million dollars per year, and that means he is widely listened to. That has nothing to do with whether he is logical, likable, or truthful. The Republican listeners have created him, they just keep looking the other way when asked to acknowledge him.
Huntsman is a closet lefty. I won't vote for him again.
The mainstream media is still smarting over the failure of lib-talk radio Air America, which crashed, burned and went bankrupt. Meanwhile Rush is going strong, more viewers than ever, more influence than ever. Which scares the hell out of Obama and his coven led by that witch Nancy Pelosi, so they're doing their best to take him down - which, not so incidentally, creates a handy-dandy diversion from the circus taking place at the White House. Gee, you think Obama can nominate someone for his Cabinet who's NOT a tax cheat? LOLOLOL!
I HAVE STATED BEFORE THAT JON HUNTSMAN WOULD MAKE A
GREAT RUNNING MATE FOR MITT ROMNEY IN 2012.THE GOP
NEEDS TO RUN WITH THIS NOW.
what? a democratic operative group telling telling republicans that they really prefer Huntsman to Limbaugh?
Who the hell is Huntsman?
