This is great. One by one, States are realizing the significance of the 2nd Amendment and States rights.

Stu Strickler

Do not let anyone tell you that you do not have a right to have a firearm in your car for personal protection.

I'm glad that the state legislators are supporting this.

Why should a citizen not be able to protect themselves on the way to and from work? The police can't be everywhere.

This is a great bill. Congrats to the legislature.

(This is the 2nd time I've said this; 'someone' didn't like it the first time.)
I think the AOL employees should sue for their lost wages! The only way companies will learn that they cannot trample on their employees' rights is to hit them in the pocket book.

guns rights are right on. how can you tell when barac is lieing? when his lips are moving - yes, but when their moving and he's reading from a tele prompter which is 100 percent of the time. how can you tell when he's telling the truth. when he's in the closet with barney frank. gun rights are right on. don't tread on the constitution unless you have some serious tread.

its about time!

Yo momma

finally.

I agree that we should be able to protect ourselves to and from work. Just dont take them into work unless you work at a gun store or wanna get fired, either or.

I'm glad this is passing. Maybe they'll see how well it'll turn out and Mr. president will forget about the ban he supports

If a criminal knows he/she has a greater chance of being shot and/or killed, he/she is much more less likely to commit that crime. However, you must never make known that a weapon is in your possession or vehicle. Bumper stickers, window decals, etc....
It makes the odds greater for unattended burglary.
AMEN for this bill!

Good for legislature

AOL could probably care less about the constitution, they are amoral.

All the more reason to never give them your money.

Besides, AOL software is essentially a modified virus.

But even if it weren't I'd still never do business with them because of the way they treated their employees.

Frmr AOL Emplyee

These terminated individuals were not concealing weapons in their cars, they were carrying uncased guns through the parking lot, AFTER being warned on a prior occassion not to do this. (Also right after Columbine). The site was clearly posted regarding carrying weapons. This bill would not have any effect on what happened at AOL. The problem was not them having concealed weapons in their vehicles.. the problem was that they were flouting their guns openly on the company property and making other employees uncomfortable. It was these employees' lack of discretion and common sense that resulted in their firing, not suppression of gun rights. It was these type of actions that give gun owners a bad name.

In response to Mark, they did sue, and sued, and sued all the way to the Utah Supreme Court.. they lost. But they lost because they were not being responsible gun owners, it had nothing to do with their gun rights.
