Thanks Okur,Millsap and Brewer for stepping up on the road. Go forward and make it 15 in a row.
Wouldn't that be awesome if the Jazz went all the way?! What a great thing to do for Larry!
Result might have been very different had Granger been playing. Jazz good fortune that he couldn't. Nevertheless, a win is a win and the streak continues.
DWill colder than Bernie Madoff's heart, but he directed the team to victory. Boozer not in sync yet, had no real effect on tonight's game. Millsap was the man who supplied energy toward the end to help the Jazz pull away. Memo was the offensive punch.
Gets increasing tougher from here. Can we win one of next three? Jazz depth has been crucial lately. Teams seem to wilt under our pressure in fourth quarter. We'll need every one to keep that pressure up to pull out another win on this road trip.
Go Jazz!
Pacers had won 9 in a row @ home, so Granger or no Granger an excellent road win.
Depth of our bench will help during the next 3 away games. Confidence is HUGE in ANY sport and, at the moment we have it in buckets.
GO JAZZ !!!!!!
Bench
Defense (tons of deflections and steals)
Paul Milsap.
Mehmet Okur
Game.
Ronnie Brewer has really turned it on lately as has Kyle Korver. This Jazz team is finally learning how to keep their head into games. I don't worry about going into the fourth quarter anymore. That's when the Jazz are playing their best basketball. If we could just find a way to turn it on in the first half, we would be unstoppable.
the Iowa Jazz fan. Now there's a person who can find the cloud in the silver lining. Feel sorry for your wife and kids. Geez, Have you EVER heard of having a positive outlook on life
So much to discuss. Again, tonight is a case of "picking poison". If someone asked before the game "if Deron Williams goes 1-9 do you like your chances"? Team effort in every way...I had to hear game on radio., we were up 54-48 at half, but i was concerned again with our 3 point defense? Who guarded Murphy Boozer? Then again on highlights maybe was not really out fault, because on transition and the Pacers breaking, I noticed he "was a trailer" and knocked down those bombs straight away. If all of these were like this, I have less fault with the defense. Anyway, who stopped him 2nd half? Milsap? Murphy had 2. meanwhile, Brewer again got hot, Okur hit every back breaking momentum potential swinging shot. Kirilenko energy, Dwil dishing and Paul Milsap clearly 2nd half star, the rebounds offensively, the moves, crashing the hoop, making tough shots. It was all needed because Jarett Jack became unstoppable keeping Indiana in the game and it was close until about 8 min left-before 15-2 run capped by Korver 3 OVER 4 MIN. We appear now playoff lock. Phoenix lost again. They 7 back us 18 left.
Ronnie Brewer is playing well since Boozer has come back from injury. He thrives with running the baseline. When teams focus on Boozer. It allows Brewer to run more freely. Look at the game against Toronto. Brewer struggled. When Boozer plays he magically has 20 points. There are two many players on this team. It is really exciting to watch. It makes me just giddy.
I didn't notice but who shut down Jack in the box in the first half? 0 points? Miles was that you?/???
Another good win. Love this Jazz team!
For all those fans who complain about the Jazz 3 Point defense, you need to rethink what your talking about.
It might seem that way some times, but it is not correct.
Currently only two teams give up a lower percent from the 3 point line then the Jazz. So I would say the 3rd best 3 point defense in the NBA is pretty good.
Also the Jazz lead the NBA in steals.
They also give up the 4 lowest FT percent (I would say there style of physical defense is the cause of this. The other teams players are just to beat up to make them).
So I would say the stats show the Jazz are a pretty good defensive team. Or everyone in the NBA is bad. But either way you look at it, the Jazz are one of the better defensive team in the NBA.
They also give up the second fewest assists per game. Defense might have a little to do with that.
They probably lead the NBA or are towards the top of more defensive stats then offensive stats.
I've never seen these guys play with so much effort, it was non-stop the whole game; and that's what they needed, because indiana plays 48 minutes. Probably the play that stands out the most to me, just because I think it epitomizes the difference between how they've played during this streak, as to before; i think it was the first or second quarter, and the pacers were breaking, and memo was busting it down the floor, just that hustle caused him to get into a passing lane, and it resulted in a steal; that's just one play among many, the effort has been everywhere, from everybody; and then the jazz still had another gear for the final minutes; the little bit they turned it up at the end, was enough to really swing the game.
As for murphy, i think the jazz can live with murphy scoring about half of indiana's points on 7-8 3pt shooting, in the first half; he was on fire, someone had to do something for the pacers, to keep them in the game. as for the jazz, they played great. they didn't waver from the plan.
Great win and solid all around effort by the Jazz. The Jazz got 39 pts. from Brewer, Korver, and Miles, to go along with 11 rebounds. I like this trio.
Who was it besides Don Nelson that said you can never have enough athletic 6'7 guys that can play?
Gotta love how the Jazz are playing right now.
Would really like to play L.A or Spurs at their place right now to see how far we've come..
Jazz are flying and lets all hope the ride keeps going for a few months yet.
GO JAZZ!!
...here. Winning a 13th on the second of a back to bcak on road is going to be tough. I think this is the end of the streak. And after a 1-2 outing over the next 3, we can get back to a new streak. All, of course, in my opinion.
This is the way this team is suppose to play, not winning 12 every month in a row but beating the heck of losing team and win on the road.
Go future ahead of this team.
Your opinion is worthless. I mean, honestly, why even bother.
Going to the game tonight, huge Jazz fans who happen to live in atlanta. Tonights game should be a nationally televised game, I mean come on, both 4th place teams a month before the playoffs and the networks are showing Golden State and New Jersey? Oh well, I will be enjoying the game live and in person.
GO JAZZ!
