Swinton knew too many details about the ranch and the raid. I believe she is in some sort of underground hoax calling business for hire, and may have been under the employ of FLDS enemies for this hit job.

LOL, she's out wandering the country, in Burley Idaho last thanksgiving, and now she's blogging her poor empty heart out looking for kids to help to fill that void, if you don't believe me, just go look.

In all fairness your article should also add that the young girls in Gutierrez's report

quote

Were in actual fact adult women, some over 40 years old.

Something should be done with this woman. The damage
that was done will drag on for years, both legally, and emotionally. Heaven forbid, what if shots had
been fired, and lives taken, due to the false report.
I can't help think that someone else was involved, and may have put her up to it. Also, what about the police and the judges involved. They knew right away, about this woman, and her background. Do they not also share some acountability?
People can do more malicious mischief, with a phone and a lie, in today's world, than one can imagine.

Gutierrez should be in the mental asylum for seeing things.

There is really not a lot to be done with the mentally ill woman except sedate her with drugs. You are letting this whole thing get to you too much. You need to calm down. At least the authorities have her now.

Interesting that everything in Ruby's report is exactly what CPS did to the FLDS women and children while in custody. Looks like they are guilty of what they accused the FLDS of 100 fold.

Re:Gizmo; Is asking pertinent questions a sign of emotional instability today? I simply pointed out certain facts, such as the legal and personal ramifications, in regards to the topic before us.
I also addressed the inherent danger involved in false accusations, and those with authority to verify, before they take action.
If someone falsely accused you of selling drugs at you home, would you not want the judge and police to
verify certain facts, before they raid your home?
These situations happen all over this country.
I hope posing certain questions will not cause me mental instability! P.S. I am feeling better now, I took my State Mandated drugs.

I agree with Cosmo, someone points a false finger and your being made to prove your innocent.
TomJeff | 10:10 a.m. March 9, 2009
The great thing is you don't have to be crazy to ruin other people's lives. Any sane and malicious person can anonymously accuse anyone of any imagined abuse to CPS at any time and even though it is illegal such an act is impossible to prosecute through national call lines that guarantee untracability.
The scary thing is not this wack-o but the system she and anyone else can abuse to destroy families. It happens every day people, to the tune of four million false reports a year (federal stats). Just because it hasn't happened to you yet doesn't mean it won't. Just takes a mad neighbor, coworker, distant family, or stranger walking down the street.
And then you're in the clutches of a violent government agency that only has incentives to destroy families (federal and state money) and none for preserving your family.

I think we all can agree that we could all use a little more polygamy in our lives.

I wonder why she would hate a pure white bigamyist church. Is racisum still alive today?

I know her from church and she is a nice person always helpful and has a kind demeanor. She always welcomed new people and made them feel at ease. It is hard seeing a person that was so decent in this kind of trouble. I hope she gets the help she needs, she will be in my prayers.
Ray | 3:26 p.m. April 6, 2009
Jerry, What church does she attend?
Hang time | 3:29 p.m. April 6, 2009
If she is guilty she must be severely punished. Send her to live next door to former President Bush in Dallas for the remainder of her days.
Hugh McBryde | 4:12 p.m. April 6, 2009
Jerry Clifford probably IS Rozita Swinton.
Ray | 5:31 p.m. April 6, 2009
Jerry, What church do you attend?
tigerlily | 8:57 a.m. April 7, 2009
Jerry:: this isn't the first time that this woman has done this
Johnathan | 10:53 a.m. April 8, 2009
Well:: Tigerlily , My, my aren't you so knowledgeable about everything. Um, you seem to enjoy ganging up on anyone who disagrees with you. Maybe this Sarah chick has a good side to her as well, did you ever think of that? As long as she isn't a pedophile and not out raping children then perhaps you should all spare her the rope.
tigerlily | 12:37 a.m. April 9, 2009
Johnathan:: i'm not ganging up on anyone. just stating facts. i don't care if people disagree. she mad a false accusation and should be punished for it.

Can we please get rid of the constent coverage about the Fundamentalists. The end of this topic should have ended long ago. Utah outlawed polygamy years ago, as well as the LDS church. These stories are about people who don't even live in this state. You make it sound like people from Utah and the LDS church are interested in this topic. Please let it go. Your coverage sends a message about the people of this state that isn't what most of us would wish to have sent. If this topic must be covered, let another newspaper or internet site take over, the Deseret News has more important things to be involved with; and tabloid gossip is not one of them.
tigerlily | 11:42 a.m. April 10, 2009
those people that you are talking about are from utah and some of them still live in utah. polygamy is part of utahs and the churches history. some of us are interested in what is going on

Calumny should be punished. It is epidemic; time for a showdown.

If she is so religious has she not read:

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

Then of course:

... all liars, shall have part in their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone".

This world could do without Rozita Swinton. She is the type of person who adds problems rather than solutions to a situation. How can she claim to be not guilty of instigating the raids on the FLDS familiies and their homes by reason of mental impairment? She knew exactly what she was doing when she made that hoax phone call to Authorities. Like the Devil, she is deceitful, cunning and crafty.
Eric the Great | 3:27 p.m. April 16, 2009
I don't know why they are going after her. I'd say the authorities have a bit of blame due to the fact that they didn't follow up this phone call in any way to verify it. So instead they raid these people and put hundreds of children into foster care and break up dozens of families. I may not believe what these people do but whatever they want to believe is their right. Its so simple its stupid. But we want to crucify this silly woman instead of rightfully putting handcuffs of the person in charge of the investigation that the phone called sparked. Throw those morons out of law enforcement.
Laughing Panfish | 6:03 p.m. April 18, 2009
I've just waded through some awfully erratic comments about what some people say they think happened, and how they would choose to punish imaginary actions of their imaginary persona.

I really wonder where they came up with their cruel oddball ideas, and if chaos and being anti-law&order is normal here.
BrassTacks | 12:09 p.m. April 22, 2009
Assuming for the moment that Rozita is guilty of making the hoax call, and assuming that means there wasn't enough "cause" for the raid, I still would like to know why charges aren't being filed regarding the dozen underage girls found to have borne children? That is a separate matter, and should be subject to abuse laws like any other scenario when underage children are not protected by the adults responsible for their wellbeing.
