I just want to say how great it has been watching these boys literally grow before our eyes over the last 3 years physically, mentally and in every other way. They work hard on the court and off and haven't gotten the kind of attitudes you sometimes see with the kind of talent and success they have achieved. Their brilliant coaches, especially Coach Lewis, are students of the game and always prepared. Not only that, they are fine men and I couldn't be prouder of being associated with all of them. Good-luck, guys. Bring it home on Saturday!

I love how Lone Peak gets all the attention when Provo High Is just as good, or better. 40 game win streak? thats not dynasty? Pay attention news writers! Provo deserves that or better. Coach Drury is the best coach with 8 rings, hopefully nine by saturday and the school is going for 18 titles. I think thats like 5 of the last 6 in the past 6 years. That is talent right there. So i think that Provo has a dynasty also.

Provo & Lone peak are both dynasties, the only problem is they are in different classifications, if they were both in 5A then we might find out who would have more rings. But as I see it the are the two best basketball teams in the state and have been and will be for many years to come.

Great Provo,but this story is about Lone Peak and the 5A playoffs. Lone peak played an awesome game, I tip my hat to the better team. Good luck in the "ship", no offense but I'll be rooting for WJ from our region. WJ will have to be firing on all cylinders to pull off this upset. Great job by Lone Peak. Outplayed, outcoached, outhustled us and should have won. But, with all the talent we have at Bingham how do we get drilled 24-6 firt quarter and have that Smith guy shutting down 6'5" Remington Peck and then shooting 3's with no one near him? It was like we had no idea what to do. Great season Miners but we have to finish stronger. Getting killed by WJ and then beating two bad teams in NR & Weber and then getting embarrassed doesn't cut it in Minerville. It will all be even worse when WJ beats LP tonight cuz they'll know what to do after watching LP kill everybody else.

What was Bingham's game plan last night? Lone Peak was able to take whatever shot they wanted last night. In order to beat Lone Peak, you have to do SOMETHING to make them work. Lone Peak came out and blasted Bingham, and it was largely due to Bingham's lack of a game plan.

In the summer we killed Provo and in the game this season we lost in 2OT's. If Dillon, Tannon, or Brandon even make a couple of good plays LP wins at Provo. That was the only loss in the past two years for LP, so the streak would have been even longer. Also, it's been three years since LP lost a conference game!
This year the teams are close, but if you take the past three 5 years, it isn't even close. LP is more dominant. Deal with it Provo.

Has been in existence since 1997. They have five state championships. Maybe six by the end of the day. Thats one every two years the schools been around. Provo has 17 (maybe 18) in 97 years, a pace of one every six years. Redefine dynasty. Obviously you have more titles, you've been around for 80+ years longer!

Lone Peak hasn't been challenged in a much tougher 5A. Provo has had close scares in the weak weak 4A. And who is the premiere victory on Provo's "40 winning streak"? Lone Peak.

Provo has certainly had a long and illustrious history and tradition. The same cannot be said of Lone Peak. The comment above that Provo and Lone Peak have and will continue to dominate must come from a Lone Peak fan. Provo big tradition? No doubt. Lone Peak? Not a chance. How many state championships without Tyler Haws? And next year he's gone. I've seen them play multiple times. Without Hawes they probably win 2 years ago, but not last year or this year. Now after he's gone I don't see the program able to dominate in 5A. They never did it before. Coach Lewis does do a great job, but so do others.

Hasn't it been that Bingham has made it to the 5A semi's or final game every year for the past three years?! That is saying something for a guy that has a very unorthodox coaching style. Were it not for Lone Peak it could have been 3 straight state titles. Congratulations to Coach Dubach and all the Miners for doing so well, year after year. That is great coaching!

Good year, however LP was a far better team. I will never go against a Bingham coach, however how can you keep a player like Krahenbuhl on the floor when he acts like he has no idea what is going on.

Lone Peak has won 2 possibly 3 with tyler haws and 2 without. Lone peak will continue to be a great program without tyler. With little emery and little haws coming into the program there will be plenty more championships to come.

Great season, we have been in the mix year after year. You can't take state every year, however it is great to have a chance. Many schools would give anything to be Bingham. Good luck to the players that are leaving and we will be there cheering for the ones that remain. Thanks, coaches, players and parents.

Lone peak lost to provo this year and the last year. Provo owns lone peak

West Jordan does not have a chance against lone peak. Lp is the real deal as well as haws! haws is the greatest player to ever play high school basketball in utha. possibly 3 state champps, 2 mr. basketball 1 5a mvp.. he is awesome. Quicny lewis is best coach in state and then its dubach! if wj is equal to bingham then this will be a 20 point win for lone peak. Wj has no big guys and what guard is gonna score on haws from west jordan? none of them! go lone peak

For all of those who praise Provo, and say LP wouldn't win without Haws. Well, every good team has a star player or two. Always been the case. But keep in mind Provo fans, you might not have any state titles without all the Wesley brothers, or the Collinsworths. By the way, none of which live in Provo.

Lone peak is better than provo. with haws and smith they are unstoppable. they will definately beat west jordan. it wont even be a game.
