I am so exited she got it she has a huge future and I hoe god will be with her through all of it. KEEP PRAYING FOR THIS SONG BIRD!!!!
kick the song bird off, she's horrible!
A true original making Utahns proud. I would love to hear her sing, "Oh so Quiet" by Bjork.
You know, I am not a fan of tatoo's but Megan has such a inviting smile and face, she doesn't look like she is some hard person. I know I should not say that, but she has the girl next door face, with body art. I really like her voice, it is a very unique sound and I am glad that she is going to be on the show, I think that more and more the contestants have more unique sounds. I do have to admit that her movements are distracting, they just don't seem to go with the flow of the music. Good luck to you Megan.
I'm fast becoming a Megan fan. Simon was right, she's different, and she grabs your attention. Paula was right, the camera loves her. In a way, she kind of has that Brittany Spears factor, where you just have to watch her. She's got a unique signature voice not to mention her style. I like her quirky moves! And tatoos or not, I've got high hopes for Megan.
She's such a cute girl. It's too bad she has to have those TRASHY looking tatoos. When she decides to get them off there are some very expensive processes available. It's just so sad.
What have tatoo's got to do with it?
It's too bad everyone in life isn't exactly the same, following some same of silly standard that people think is the "right" thing to do.
She's not my favorite in the group but props to her.
The fact that she's not an active Mormon is a plus in my book.
Go get them Megan!
Congratulations Megan. I don't mind the movements at all, every other singer you see does the exact same movements over and over, nothing original.
Megan you are such a beautiful girl it is a shame that you would deface yourself with a tatoo, especially covering your whole arm. Can't imagine what ever would make you think that added to your beauty. Such an ugly thing you did to yourself! Its like these taggers that think its cool to go out and vandalize beautiful property with spray paint.
I do wish you luck, but do wear long sleeves so we can concentrate on your singing and beautiful face instead of your distracting arm.
no! i think that Megan is the best one out there!
i like the tone and her style! she is not horrible!
Is she Mormon, then we have to vote for her right? wink wink
Is she LDS or is her family?
Mormon or not, Tattoos or not, I love this girl! She has her own style and unique voice that sets her apart from any previous idol. She is engaging in every way from her face, personality, voice, style, etc. etc...right down to her movement to the music! Don't let these critcs change you Megan! It's obvious you are being true to who you are; and that's what will get you the farthest. She is by far my favorite, running a close second is ANOOP!
I am an active adult member of the church. Quit being such prudes. I don't care for her tattoo, but she might not care for my looks either. Let's not be so self righteous. Lets start respecting the ways people choose to express theirselves. Their are so many poor choices you can make in this day and age and choosing to get tatoos is not that life-altering of a choice.
Respect her agency to make choices that don't have an adverse effect on those around her.
I too feel that someone so pretty needs to have something so distracting as a whole arm covered with a tatoo. That takes away the beauty!!
If you read her tatoo's backward, it says elvis Presley is alive,
I don't mind the tatoos but I have a problem with the sublimnal messages.
How does she know elvis is alive?
i think this article should have been called Utah singe with tattoos is an idol finalist- that's all anyone seems to care about. american idol seems to just be a beauty contest/opinion poll and no one seems to have an actual opinion about the singing skills of the contestants.
For the LDS: Heber J. Grant teaches "I believe in criticism for breakfast/lunch/dinner just so long as its about our own dear selves" so get off her case about tattoos.
And what's all this bagging on Utah by the media, they're probably jealous,
this girl is rad... I'm happy to see someone so colorful, attractive and kind represent utah. utah is an amazing place and its sad, as noted from the reporter's question in the interview, that people dont look for the greatness of the state and instead allow stereotypes to exist and flourish. I wish miss corkrey the best! oh and im LDS, and beliefs come along with that about how to treat your body that i agree with, BUT i think the tattoos look good! sweet sweet style.
Although I would like to vote for Megan as a fellow Utahn, I'm still waiting for her to win me over. I did like her last performance better than anything she'd done so far. In fact, I'm waiting for any of the finalists to perform well enough to inspire me to vote.
Last year David Archuleta had me in his pocket the first time I watched him. I can't wait for his upcoming concert here on the 27th! I think the level of talent displayed by the finalists was generally much higher last year. Although Archuleta was always #1 for me, I also loved Brooke, Jason and Carly. The others were great too.
Just because she doesn't fit the mold, and is true to herself and her own character, doesn't give you guys the right to judge her. I thought that followers of the LDS religion were better than this. I know the majority of you don't follow and practice every little thing you preach about. Please don't try to be so closed minded.
