I am the first to bad mouth these jokers when they make stupid legislative-time decisions.
So I will be the first to say, "well done."
I just wish I wasn't so surprised. Sheesh. Think we'll see the savings in the exorbitant price of liquor?
Our legislature is amazing. First they come up with incredibly stupid things like this, then they pat their own butts when they remove them because they're unnecessary, who knows how many millions of wasted dollars later. This ten foot wall idea by Sen. John Valentine has got to be the stupidest thing ever done by any elected body. The fact that they're even seriously considering it is proof that these people are complete idiots.
It should have been a paper sack.
And, more importantly, will the bulk of the 1$ million savings come from no longer paying wages to a number of soon-to-be-let-go employees?
Well this just saves them money, doesnt make them any so i would guess no!
It amazes me how incredibly idiotic this Utah government is when it comes to alcohol. This is a non issue in most normal states. I'm embarrased when I tell people I live in Salt Lake City. Thank goodness I only have one year left of my job that forces me to be here. The wine store is nice but Costco in Las Vegas is better and cheaper, and any other supermarket for that matter. Save more money and get rid of state liquor stores. Focus more on education.
Scott McCoy is one of the best on the hill! Thanks for being one of the good guys and having common sense to save money and cut through the bureaucracy.
We are most ashamed to have people in this state like the drunks injuring and killing our GOOD citizens. All the liqour in this state should have a triple the tax increase. The money should be used to help the victims of all the drunks on our streets, on the roads and homes. If criminals choose to come to Utah to drink and kill people, stay home. We don't need or want you here. It is most embarrassing to admit we have people here, so mindless and helpless that we need laws to protect us from drunks. If we have to have those kind of people,we need to remove the DUI and neglient homicide laws, since they will take too much money to persecute all the drunks who are murdering people. Drunks don't care about people or public safety, only their selfish, self centered WANTS!
He's saddled with so much hate he's drunk with it. If you don't like what you see then pluck your own eyes out. Like it or not, alcoholic beverages are good for people and has kept much of humanity from deing and going as insane as poor richard is. Alcholic drinks have been a part of mans diet for mileniums of time and many of us wouldln't be here if it wasn't for it. However Utah calls it a curse and useless part of mans diet. Utah thinks hiding every thing unpure in the liquor cabinet saves children and shelters them from perverts like Richard. He is perverted with hate, that is what children need to be protected from, not by hiding it but letting them see it and understand why it is unacceptable. Children do grow up and must start making choices for themselves and with Utahs so many hide it from the children laws, they don't know what choices to make or how to make them. And they always seem to end up in our legislature making more stupid laws.
