Utahns act now

Quoting the article: "I'm really irritated with the lawlessness," he said Wednesday". I think the whole world & particularly any decent Utahn is more than "irritated." Arrest those in illegal activities and welfare fraud, period. This is a crime ring that behaves as if nothing they do will be punished, because they have gotten away with it so long. They need to end this all finally. Write Shurtleff your AG & supposed law enforcer. Harry Reid better yet, as he called for federal enforcement.

to;Utahns act now

the only problem with your comment Utah would be without a AG, Nevada Would be without a senator,Wisan and his helpers would be in jail for fraud,Texas would hardly have any LE left to protect itself. and less 2% of Colorado City would be behind bars.Come-on it would be worth it!!!!!!!

IMO

IMO poster @ 1:57PM, dude you are out of touch with reality. The problem is that Shurtleff hasn't pushed enforcement of the law. If he had convicted felons like Warren Jeffs would not have been able to cause the mischief, & felonious crimes in the FLDS community. Once the rank & file FLDS members realize they have been led down the garden path by the likes of Warren Jeffs & his cronies, they will think, those folks in the 2nd ward CP/Az got it right, boy was I made a fool by Jeffs & company.

I agree 100% with "Utahns act now" post at 1:31PM- write your AG, write Sen Reid encouraging him to act. As ranking Dem in the Senate, Sen. Harry Reid has President Obama's ear. Hopeful Sen. Reid will seek out the President to help end the crimes of Warren Jeffs, Willie the thug and others like them.

Celestial hog wash

The inbreeding of FLDS cultist sure plays a toll on producing some very, scary, ugly, polygamist men. Yikers!

realitycheck

that boy in the picture "don't look too bright".... looks like his speech would be slow and stuttered...

perhaps a little too much inbreeding...

typical FLDS. so sad... and they just keep pumpin' 'em out, like rabbits... with their 14 yr old neices...

Talking about getting down and dirty. I have never heard of someone being arrested for plowing up a field. If the EUP trust still owns that part of the farm and all of other land, then what is the big deal. So what if the FLDS wants to farm the land. You think that everyone would praise them for plowing the field if it was nothing but weeds and looked horrible. Crops look better than vacant land. How can people trespass on property that is owned by the same trust? In this economy, is anyone really going to pay a fortune for the property? The farm land probably has drop in value over the last few years making it worthless. And if it is farm land, it should be sold as farm land at farm land value and be farmed, instead of being built up on. There are so many farm land lots that have one house on them and the rest of the lots are weeds.

I don't think that I would smile if I were arrested for plowing up a farm field. That made my day.

Improve Yourselves

To the flds out there, what do you have against treating your own kids as children ought to be treated. Its wrong to kick young boys out of the home at very young ages.

Why don't you all think about this and mend your ways.

To the states who have FLDS people, why isn't this practice against the law?

Utah

Utah doesn't enforce these laws, There are more groups in Utah that live like this then in texas why do you think utah is number one in Porn.

when

When will utah fix its bigomy problems.

To x:

The land was ALREADY planted with winter wheat and it was already SPROUTING. These two criminals DESTROYED another mans crop and thereby ruined his livelyhood. Geez, when will this cult stop committing crimes, better question when will law enforcement in UT and AZ start doing their JOBS?

Bev

TO UTAH--DITTO ON THAT MY FRIEND ;]

me

i am from that religion an i no that guy on the picture when i was younger i used to work side by side with him. on the farm, and he is not inbred his dad is a jessop and his mom is a waymen. he has just worked hard his whole life on nothing but the "farm."i say let the man do what he loves he aint hurtin nobody. what he is doin with his family is a different story when i left that religion my own dad tried to use his priesthood powers to take my life. ever since then i have been on my own. t

YEAH

Good for Mohave Sheriff's dept!!! This is a lawless community!! So lawless, another Sheriff's dept had to be called in because Local law enforcement, did NOTHING!!!
Throw the book at Richard Jessop!! He destroyed another man's crop, and by the way, FLDS don't own anything, UEPtrust owns it all, and the STATE runs Ueptrust.

Comments

I would add my comment but the DN filters most of them. What you read on the comments if very filtered to protect the interest of the church. I don't know why I still bother reading them sometimes.

Bigots

To- "Comments" Everyone knows what you say is true.

What is wrong with this picture? The parties involved are morally obligated to settle this dispute amongst themselves. Bringing it before the courts is an evil thing. Are we not talking about people who believe they are doing the right thing? Government is a terrible master. With the advent of Obamamerica this country has embraced lawlessness from the top down. Let a tyrant get his nose in the door, and you can rest assured he will show you his backside. Someone in this situation has been brainwashed by the public school system.

Sick picture

Ugliness and perversion.

Pat

Not only "ugliness & perversion", but equally dangerous is the tendency we see in some of these comments to call for "the government" (Harry Reid,President Obama, etc to stick their noses into a STATES issue!!!!) Dont you people understand that state issues have to be settled by STATES? Otherwise, you are increasingly BEGGING for eventual dictatorship! For heavens sake, STOP trying, like children, to involve "Daddy government" in every dispute that comes along!
State government, if vigilant, will END practicing polygamy in a generation IF IT PROSECUTES those breaking the LAW!!! Instead, Utah has turned it`s head away when it came to getting in there and prosecuting multi-married men. The reason is obviously that most Utahns are FULL of Polygamy in their own families (past or present). That fact has superceded the illegality of it!

These FLDS seem more interested in being contankerous than obeying the court order. If they don't agree with the order, they should work to overturn it, but while it stands they should uphold it.

Randy

I find the Flds men to be about as humble as a bunch of striking, poisonous, venomous snakes.

The Flds women and children are in great trouble with these kinds of men. I have never known any place on earth where polygamy is practiced that there is not some kind of control and brutality force attached to it.
