Rather than promoting drunkenness and sloth on election day, the legislature should be promoting an informed electorate. The legislature should be promoting the old fashioned values that made this Country great: temperance, prudence, moderation, and self-control.
JCS-You're full of it! Have you seen the records of what our founding fathers consumed while meeting to form this country? Mass consumers of alcohol. And FYI, I doubt anyone who is going to get "drunk" on election day wouldn't have stocked up knowing the store was closed. You think people go the store and buy half pints every day? Same as gaining $100,000. That's just money spent before election day.
This is really good for McCoy. You'd have to be drunk in order to vote for him, at least he's willing to admit it. LOL
Yep, I'm LDS, and yes, I think our well-meaning legislators stock their noses too frequently into the rights of their fellow Utahns. Good grief, if someone wants to have a drink, let them have a dadgum drink!
