11 of the 15 current players sat on the bench or the row behind for the LHM funeral. Who were the 4 "missing in action" and why?
Nice story! I am grateful to the Millers for all they have done for our state and more. Lary was a great example of a hard worker, a great father husband and man of FAITH!
Thanks to all of the players and friends who paid respect!
We will miss you Larry. We will see you again!
I am also wondering which four players didn't make it. I know it's their choice, but how could you not attend. I've counted nine players in pictures and then this article mentioned Ronnie Price, so the five remaining players were Boozer, Okur, AK, Millsap, and Koufos. One of those guys must've been there to make 11. How sad is it that the three top paid players on the team didn't attend. I'm not surprised at all about Boozer. The guy is an absolute liar. I'm sure he still resents comments made by Miller. I can't believe any of the other guys didn't make it.
I know AK and Okur were at the viewing for sure. Also, AK said he was planning on attending the funeral in an earlier article in the trib. So I'd guess Booz, Milsap, Okur and Koufos didn't make the funeral.
I think people grieve and mourn - and show respect - in their own ways. So whether or not they showed up to the funeral or sat with their teammates doesn't mean they were disrespecting Larry Miller or his family.
Plus, there were only a few thousand Utahns at the funeral. Does that mean the rest of the state was disrespectful? I personally don't think so.
