Comments about ‘3A girls high school basketball: Emery's Robertson makes amends a year later’

Emery girls totally rocked tonight. Good Job and Good Luck tomorrow.

Question: "We were hoping we'd see them (the Bulldogs). We knew we should have won last year. There were a couple of bad calls at the end." You say there were bad calls but then why did the Emery player just admit she mouthed off to the ref. Sounds like a good reason to call a technical to me. Judge deserved that win just like Emery did tonight despite a couple of "bad calls at the end." The Judge girls aren't making excuses so maybe, a year later, its time for the Emery girls to do the same.

In that comment you made an excuse for the judge girls. Emery girls spanked judges and now your crying about it. And I'm sure that who ever wrote this story asked how she felt about last years loss. Judge could've had a better chance but they're heads weren't into it and their fans were lame. They didn't really have a student section till after half time. But go emery win state in 09 =)

I wouldn't exactly say emery spanked judge. It was a one point game at the end of the fourth, they only won by that many because judge was forced to foul to stop the clock. Good luck against wasatch

I agree Judge's fans were very lame. Emery's student section was probably four times the size of Judge's and Emery is about three hours away, whereas Judge is only a ten minute drive from the E Center. It would have been nice to see some support for Judge's girls team this year

Why do you think the Judge fans were lame? HMMM. I thought scheduling parent-teacher conferences the same day as the state basketball tournament was perfectly ok - don't you? There is a very good reason why Judge's school spirit was the worst of any school in the tournament. I will let you all figure it out.

I have been to other sports games when Judge plays and the parents don't come to those either, don't know why when they spend the money to have there kids go to this school, I think I would be to every game. Maybe the reason is because its so expensive to go there that they can't afford to travel and pay tickets to support them, these kids are not all located on the valley floor they come from all around Utah?

So sorry to inform the public that the swearing has not stopped and the griping at the officials did not stop. The potty mouth, fit throwing was pretty evident both times we played them this year. So much for changing your life and changing your ways...NOT TRUE

The Lady Spartans deserved this win. AS WELL AS THE WIN OVER WASATCH TONIGHT. The LADY SPARTANS deserved this. Don't try tell me your little perfect angels don' ever swear..... Nobody said we are saints, but we do get a bad rap from the refs because of being a small town school. We also don't have the luxury of moving our school borders around to stay 3A and playing below our level. You have more talent to chose from we have what we have and WE ARE PRETTY DARN GOOD. STATE CHAMPIONS 2007 AND 2009...DESPITE THE 3A STATUS OF 4A SCHOOLS. GO EMERY BEAT THE PANTS OFF WASATCH.

anyone know what Lady Spartan Fan is talking about? If its Wasatch they are like 200 kids under the # to move up into 4A?? Judge is more like 500 under so I would say that Emery was playing below there level Judge should really only be 2A?

I am a Judge parent and you don't know what your talking about. Every parent goes to all of the games even the ones out in roosevelt and vernal. We support our kids 100% no matter how much it costs.

abbie kay was and is amazing. she scored over half the points in the championship game. GOOD JOB ABBIE
