"NASA has received $400 billion specifically earmarked for the space shuttle replacement." That's got to be a typo. You must mean $400 million.
Furthermore, the money was NOT earmarked for the shuttle replacement. It is for exploration generally.
In addition to those lay-offs...
ATK is also moving another 100 positions from Clearfield, Utah to Iuka, Mississippi later this year.
So, technically those additional folks can't be counted as lay-offs...they'll still have jobs, so long as they move out of Utah.
Husband laid off today from ATK...very surprised. Sad, worried. Not a fun time to unemployed.
