Any thing for a buck. This is going to be a very huge buck, especially all for nothing. CO2 is NOT a pollutant. There is not a reason on this green earth to be doing this nonsense. CO2 contributes absolutely NOTHING to climate change, and they all know it. This is nothing more than a continuation of the same stuff we've now been hearing for years, which is, that mankind needs to be stopped in the emissions of life giving gases. These people are so completely blinded to this agenda they can't see they truth as it really is. They are so happy to be getting paid incredible sums of money for this waste, and believe me, the money for these projects will come directly out of the pockets of the people. Carbon storage and sequestration is so incredibly idiotic, and will raise the cost of energy 10 times, mark my word.
I'd really like to see the media do some actual research on this subject for one in their existance, and bring up the opposing view. Believe me, there's ample evidence that the agenda is a great fraud.
And your evidence is...?
So what happens to the coal ash?????????????
"gp" is correct.
We could destroy all plant life because and get rid of any decaying material because they both emit carbon dioxide. And if we could only prevent volcanoes from erupting...
CO2 is bad it is polluting eath!!!!!!!!!
Why not just dump your money down a hole where it will never see the light of day
The reason given for not classifying CO2 as a pollutant is based upon the fact that it is a natural component of the atmosphere and needed by plants in order to carry out photosynthesis. No one would argue the fact that carbon dioxide is a necessary component of the atmosphere any more than one would argue the fact that Vitamin D is necessary in the human diet. However, excess Vitamin D in the diet can be extremely toxic (6). Living systems, be they an ecosystem or an organism, require that a delicate balance be maintained between certain elements and/or compounds in order for the system to function normally. When one substance is present in excess and as a result threatens the wellbeing of an ecosystem, it becomes toxic, and could be considered to be a pollutant, despite the fact that it is required in small quantities.
Therefore, excess CO2 = bad
I wish I could laugh at people like gp, if it weren't for the fact that my family and our progeny will suffer because of the willful ignorance of the anti-global warming conspiracy nuts.
Everyday there is more direct evidence that GW is occurring. Today I read an article from the UN agency on GW that the glacial melting on Antarctica is occurring more rapidly than predicted.
CO2 is a greenhouse gas. It traps and retains heat. Humans are the cause of the increase in CO2. Period.
For all you conspiracy nuts: How do you think all the scientific community, countries, and governments of the world acknowledge the reality of global warming if there wasn't something to the idea? What powerful group was able to cause such a consensus about the theory of global warming if it is as obviously wrong as you say it is? Do you really think that a few hacks with the internet know more than the rest of the civilized world? YOU DON'T!
It would really help if they stopped building apartments and high rise buildings. Too many people in too small a space equals pollution and disease.
Take a look at recent press releases for Planet Resource Recovery. Their PetroLuxus product cleans up both coal ash and coal tar with 95+% effectiveness at one-third the cost of current technologies. This is a VERY green product that exceeds all EPA standards.
