Get rid of the RINO Huntsman! | 9:04 a.m. Feb. 22, 2009
Buttars for governor! We the people are so sick of the illogical environmentalism and the political correctness that are spewing from the guv. People like him are the enablers for dems to get more and more powerful in thrusting us toward socialism. At least Matheson, who we nevertheless despise, has the guts to put a "D" in front of his name.

Sorry, it would be too 'near' our parks and great vistas.

I am excited for Mr. Creamer that his grandchildren will have such a nice place to live on and grow potatotes. As for me and my family, we'll pass. Creamer is precisely the kind of "businessman" who would exchange your life for his wallet any day.

Here is what is PATHETIC: You think the citizens in Utah are stupid. We know that after they fill up their Utah dump and cannot make any more money here-Energy Solutions parent company will have Energy Solutions declare bankruptcy and leave Utah with hundreds of years of caring for that facility at our expense.

You personally benefit from their advertising. The rest of Utah does not. WE WILL NOT BE DUPED AGAIN!!!

who votes for this left wing zealot Matheson? He should frankly be wearing an orange jumpsuit for voting for that travesty of a spending bill ("stimulus") Did you bother to read that Jim? And John Huntsman: if you have any Presidential aspirations then just say no to the Feds payoff money like Bobby Jindal and Mark Sanford. Be a man!!!

I opposed the idea of importing this stuff from Italy, but the more I've learned about the details, the less opposed I am.

Ignorance always breeds opposition and protest.

I'm still waiting for logical, science-based objections to storing low-level radioactive waste in Utah.

Some political arguments make sense ("Italy should take care of their own waste"), but let's talk science and facts and leave the emotion-based rhetoric and baseless accusations out of this.

Re: Jay Evensen: Good column. I agree. There is no credible threat to accepting the foreign stuff.

Even though Utahns have lower cancer rates than people in other states... any cancer that DOES occur in Utah is caused by those blankety-blanken Nuke tests back in the 50's.

As long as we can keep selling that story and people keep buying it... we will be able to fight any low level storage being done in the west desert.
