Boozer it is time you show some integrity and earn your large contract.
Major News! I do not want anyone hurt, however, the playoff landscape has now changed-----Amare Stoudamire has a detached retina and is out 8 weeks and possibly the season, he hurt the eye Wednesday. Our chances just improved. ANywhere 4-6 seed is the goal, we will pick up ground on someone tonight. That Dallas-Houston game on ESPN will be interesting to see how Aaron Brooks plays, I cannot believe theyre gm thinks Lowry is better than Rafer ALston.,do not see it
Deep gulp of air. Wow, what exciting news. Exhale.
What a shock! Everyone thought he would play.....NOT!
Hit the road boooooooooozzzzzzz
he is sitting out games just to spite everyone now! He prob knows he can't opt out this summer now so he is giving up on his "teammates" and the organization. Then he'll sit out most of next year and play just enough to get a good long term contract form another team. What a pathetic waste!
he not milked this thing out long enough? He sure looks great sitting over on the bench in his expensive suits! Boozlander the fashion model! What a bum.
short of Boozer coming back this year and single handedly winning the jazz an NBA championship will make me a fan of this lozer again!
you'll all be cheering for him again when he's putting up 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds!
Anybody actually read the article?
It's the team holding him out now, this isn't Boozers call.
I think Boozer told the team he was ready to go on Tuesday or Wednesday and the team said that they wanted him to practice twice before he played in a game. Today is the first, tomorrow they play the Hornets, Sunday will be the second, then Boozer is back in the lineup for Atlanta on Monday.
Regardless of what you think of Boozer, as a Jazz fan you have to be at least a litte exited at the prospect our 20/10 PF and the full Jazz roster being on the court for the first time this season.
I know I am.
I am still not sure what all the hubub is about Boozer saying he is definitely opting out of his contract. OF COURSE HE IS! Why wouldn't he? That is a smart business move regardless of what team he plays for; get locked in for multiple years at a good salary. His agents probably helped him to that decision and i think it is the right decisions.
Like any other Jazz fine I am disappointed that he has been out as much as he has. I won't pretend to know the exact reasons for the absence and I'll hold my judgment till the end of the season.
Booze a talented athlete with a bit of a conceit problem (what NBA star doesn't). What is new with professional sports?
I predict the Jazz will be second in our division and 5th in the west. Not sure we can make it out of the second round this year but I hope we give it a go.
Instead of reporting he is not playing, just let us know when he will play, cuz he basically hasn't played for 3 of the 4 seasons he's been here, so I would like to hear about when he is going to play, and not the fact that he practiced and can't play.
Boozer returns, the Jazz win the division, the West, and sweep the Finals. Then we're stuck with the guy.
All I can say is everyone will get better with Boozer on the floor it opens it up for everyone else. we will improve on rebounds and scoring. D wills assists will go up to. Boozer is a huge part of this team and we need him. i was very impressed with the way Booz was playing at the beginning of the season. he was playing a lot more powerful like he should. he is bigger and stronger than any power forward. And all I can say is keep working and we will see you on Monday BOOZ! Welcome back. And please stay in UTAH Booz we LOve you here. you and D will are the future. I wish you were playing tomorrow night because I will be at that game. Anyways Welcome back Utah Jazz come Mon.
If Amare is out that changes things a lot. Further, Utah should win the next 2 home games without Boozer. It will require a great effort by the rest of the team but that is actually good.
Second, having Boozer back early and taking up minutes but not playing well is not helpful.
On Boozer opting. It is a door that swings both ways. It is a business and every day Boozer stays out hurts his "salary raise".
Boozer has gotten to the point where he is like McGrady. He has talent but he has ticked so many fans off that his ability to sell tickets is in question. Detroit might want him and pay extra for him but he is injury prone and that will hold down his price. The Jazz can get a great replacement, younger, less injury prone, better defender and taller for 12 mill or less.
On Houston, Aaron Brooks is pretty good but I don't know if Lowry is better than Alston. Lowry may be more stable but less effective.
from your mother, Booz.
get well soon!!! booze and lets get this team messing and go on a playoff run
Why the statement: "Two practices is what we agreed on."? It sounds to me like the team wants him to play sooner and he wants to play later. Why have an agreed upon practice schedule, if that is not the case? This adds fuel to fire.
As a season ticket holder, I would prefer to go .500 with Milsap than make the playoffs with Boozer, if it turns out that way down the road. Seriously. I would pay to see someone play hard and with heart. I would not pay to see some slug who only cares about himself and only worries about how every move he makes might affect his future contracts. I am just disappointed he didn't get healthy in time to play a bit so the Jazz could showcase him and try to trade his butt out of town.
You'd rather miss the playoffs without Boozer than make the playoffs with him? That is the dumbest comment I have read on these boards in a long time. I'm sick of Boozer too, but if he returns and the Jazz make a run to the Western Conference Finals, I am willing to bet you will be at the games cheering. Nice comment.
Jazz Fan, what a dumb comment!! You're telling me that if you were in Boozer's situation you wouldn't opt out for more money...if you say yes you are lying! Everyone would do it. And to say that you would rather see the Jazz miss the playoffs makes me think you're not the Jazz fan you think you are!!! Sit back, RELAX and what the Jazz with Booze take us deep into the playoffs.
