Someone needs to interview Rozita Swinton ("Sarah") and ask her how she knew about the toys that were being passed out to the kids during the raid.

The level of government misconduct here is astounding. That they hide behind one another reminds me of children. They're supporting each other now, but when this thing begins to unravel, they'll be pointing fingers.

Wow, Jeffs lawyers are really grasping at straws here.

Swinton's call didn't cause the raid; it just got investigators in the front gate of the guard-towered YFZ compound. It's like the cops coming to someone's door because of noise complaint and then investigating further when they see pot plants growing inside the house. It doesn't matter if the noise complaint was bunk.

Texas may be able to play these games in Texas, but they're going to have to answer Piccarreta's questions or they're going to get the evidence thrown out in Arizona. It's as simple as that. Rule 15.7, Arizona Rules of Criminal Procedure.

Evidence from the YFZ raid isn't needed in Arizona. The Arizona charges (two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of incest) were brought against Jeffs in May 2007, which was almost a year before the YFZ raid.

In July 2007, an Arizona grand jury indicted Jeffs on two additional counts of sexual conduct with a minor and two additional counts of incest.

The prosecutors in the Arizona case have already said they won't use evidence from the YFZ raid. So why Piccarreta keeps obsessing about it is anyone's guess.

Jeffs is going down again. His lawyers (between drunk and disorderly arrests) are just grasping at anything to try and distract attention away from the real issue. That is that Jeffs is a criminal.

Honestly, I can't believe how much the FLDS come on these blogs and try to convince everyone of all this government misconduct and how they are such victims of abuse. The only ones abusing them are their corrupt and dishonest leaders.

I hope every one of those guys ends up in federal prison. They ran from Utah to escape the law and have just gotten themselves into an even bigger legal mess. It's time for these guys to pay the price for generations of exploitation of women and children.

Jo, Hey, Hugh and cats got it right. Information concerned Rosita Swinton is immaterial because information from the Texas raid is not going to be used in this case.

High billing lawyers grasp at everything they can because it provides a greater chance of finding something that can get their client off the hook, even though they appear stupid for doing so. Jeffs is probably sunk in the courts, but that doesn't stop the attorneys from trying. One need only look at how sunk O.J. appeared to be prior to the resolution of his criminal murder case.

In my opinion, this is a group with a hierarchical power structure that enables the kingpin to satisfy whatever desires he has because they allow him to claim his desires, no matter how bizarre or illegal, are God's desires. They go to extremes to defend their leader's behavior. They need to redirect their energies and focus less on their leader and more on their children's well-being.

Jeffs is one of the BIGGEST losers that I have ever read about.
