it's about time HBO did some useful programming...

Just viewed "Taking Chance" on HBO and want to gratefully commend the film's producers, HBO, and Kevin Bacon for such an important and moving tribute to all those who have served, many, like Chance Phelps, who have, and are today, courageously serving in the Marines and in all the Armed Forces. Thank you for the privilege, through viewing this film, of bearing witness to the service and sacrifice of our many soldiers. Thank you for lifting this veil of secrecy and resultant disregard for all those who have returned home in caskets after giving their lives to perform their duty as soldiers. Though I am not in favor generally of war, those who have, and are, serving our country must not be consigned to a dust heap of the forgotten but should be given recognition, honor, and respect much as was done by Kevin and all the others in the movie. This film should be seen by all Americans, regardless of their standing on this war. Again, thank you HBO for presenting this and I hope to see it again, and that it will be made available for the widest possible audience. God bless all the fighting troops. Peace.
HBO is an alternative | 9:17 a.m. Feb. 24, 2009
Allow me to remind you. HBO is on cable (pay for service) and HBO is a premium channel (pay for service). If you don't like their programming don't upgrade your service.

let's give HBO credit for a truely great film that I hope can start a trend away from the usual hollyweird anti-American nonsense that spews from there.
