Interesting that the Lady Utes have the 4th best high score of the season, but the highest RQS and the highest average. Consistency, consistency, consistency!
Why are they called the Red Rocks?
Anonymous: Because the school color is red, and they ROCK the Huntsman Center.
But they are the Utes.
Years ago they ran a promotion entitled "Red Rocks" emphasizing the muscular physique of the gymanasts, particularly Missy Marlowe.
The name stuck.
Look at the 1992 team poster on the University of Utah Gymnastics web page.
The name Red Rocks was born with the image of Missy Marlow's muscular shoulders and back.
