Good coaching

Winning close games is a sign of good coaching. I've watched this team for the past few years and have been impressed with the coaching. Barker stays calm and it calms his players. Good job Alta!

Alta Fan

I agree. Coach Barker has taken a semi-talented team and is molding them into a winner. He has done a good job this year. The kids just need to practice those free throws or it is going to end up biting them in the end. Just ask BYU about that...

the hawk

Barker is always calm. I don't ever think I saw him get upset once in my three years of attendance. On another note way to go Ammon! I swear I've never seen anyone else do so well under pressure! Football and basketball this kid is a beast. SUU is lucky they got him.

Brighton Fan

Alta did make this game close with the freethrows, however Brighton also missed countless opportunities to get all the way back and win the game. Brighton had atleast 20 turnovers, and had atleast 3 crucial ones within the last 2 minutes that were easily avoidalbe (dribbling off feet and catching passes were the killers in this game at the end). Alta got the upper hand in both the regualar season contests, but i would be pretty confident saying if the Bengals get to play them again in the post season they can pull off the victory. Brighton just needs to cut back on the stupid little mistakes. Not taking anything away from Alta because they are a very good defensive team. I hope to see a matchup in the playoffs because we would be in for a very competitive, close game. Go Bengals!

Coach Barker has his High School Record for free throw shooting in a single game (16 for 16 100%). He knows that games lost by 10 points or less are lost at the free throw line. I hope his team members keep practing and really get in a grove at the free throw line.

RTB in California: Who would know that statistic? I guess people on here know more than I do.

Jazzfan: Only those who have watched him play every high school game. He was MVP of the league he played in in his senior year.

Where is Cannon

We miss that guy.

Jazzfan

Where is Cannon: Don't worry....
