Coach Blanchard has done a great job this year. Nice to see the return of good basketball for the Bruins. One of the best turnarounds in the state.

Springville is such a streaky team. When they are on they are very good, but they can also be very bad as a whole too.

Wow. Just very interesting to see the hubris and lack of sportsmanship by SOME Bruin friends. They won a game by 11, and call Springville streaky? One loss and it's been decided that springville is very bad as a whole? This certainly isn't a good reflection on MT. View, which is sad considering they have some very good kids and a great b-ball team.

I was actually at the game to cheer for my niece who plays for Mt. View, but in all fairness, Springville got a ref job last night. Yes, Mt. View had lots of fouls called on them, but they could have easily been called for double the fouls. The refs were reluctant to call a foul on Mt. View post players for some reason, even when they flattened someone driving to the basket. Or they'd call it a charging foul when it obviously wasn't. They also made some horrible calls against Mt. View as well, calling incidental things while letting blatent fouls go. A very poor showing by the refs.

Springville is(was now) a tough team to beat. They played really hard, but unfortunately not enough to measure up to LadyBruins. Last night game was height(LD) against speed(LB), but speed kills..These shows how better skills & trained the LadyB's even with the refs was calling left & right against 'em they still lead the score from 1st-4th quarter. Inspite of so many passing error & turned over the Bruins girls have accomplished their goal.

How do you figure the Bruins are the better team? Springville beat them the first time they met by basically the same point spread as the Bruins beat them last night. The Bruins have two region losses, Springville only has one.

I'll give you that the Lady Bruins are one of the top 3 teams in the region, but you can't logically say they are a better team than Springville when they've each won one game.

Had there been two referees last night who weren't playing along with the slap and grab defense, the result would likely have been much different.

I started reading your post and gave up. Your command of the English language us underwhelming. If your demonstrated English skills are representative of Mt. View fans and players, I call on the school administration to cancel the basketball season and start some mandatory remedial English classes immediately!

I have an idea Springville fans, why don't you stop whining about officials and just admit you were beat last night!
We know you guys are going to be the region champs, and you deserve it! Stop making excuses on why you lost. The Bruins were tougher, played harder, and they played together!
If you recall when the Bruins played at your place last time, the officials missed some calls that were questionable, but we aren't blaming the lose on the refs. I have never left a gym and said, "those refs did the most amazing job!" Officials miss calls, get over it!
Sringville players need to worry about things they can control, like making lay-ups and playing as a team, not if the officials are going to make a call or not.
As a parent you need to be a better example to your child! You are teaching them to make excuses when they really should just learn from their mistakes, and take responsibility!

Don't get too emotional on this just because you team lost and theres nothing you can do about it. Last night,the game was played fair and square and the Lady Bruins just proved to be the better team. Next season, you could bring your pompoms, & dressed up to cheer for your favorite team.
There's nothing wrong with my comments and you did understand it perfectly well so stop whining. I will not make anymore comments from now on. I apologize if I hurt your feelings.

Hmmm.. a bit of an overreaction, wouldn't you say? I only see one comment that could reasonably be attributed to a Springville parent/fan that mentions the refs. You act like the whole town has signed a petition or something.

But you either have a short or a selective memory. When Springville beat Mt. View earlier in the season, these comments were full of excuses about the poor ref-ing and how "Springville didn't win, we beat ourselves."

I have an idea... why don't you worry about the beam in your own eye before spouting off on a message board. Once your own house is in order, feel free to dole out sportsmanship advice.

High school girls bball...it is only a game Mt.View played well, Springville didn't. That's what win games in the end whoever plays better. Springville will still be region 7 champions and payson and mt view will have to fight for second.

ehem... i dont see a comment anywhere that the springville parents/ fans were complaining about the refs. i read one comment that was from "Unbiased Observer", who said they were from mountain view and mentioned the refs. Springville didnt ever complain. Dont say stuff we dont do please...

wow why does it matter to people who aren't even the ones who played in the game? It's high school girls basketball and people are arguing about it... It was our game, we're the ones who played. I'm not saying everyone does this, but for those who do, please don't act like you know how we feel and think when you don't

I was at the game and it was pathetic, both teams I thought were SLOW and I honestly just hope that both teams were having a bad night, because that was pathetic!

I guess at the end of the day Mt. View left no doubt who was the better team by blowing Springville out in State by 17.
