its about time

way to go waterford i speak for all of 3a when i say thank you it has been to long

Defense

I would like to first like to say i have no connection with Waterford or Judge and that this game was GREAT. I would like to point out that #10 for Waterford played a terrific game defensively on probably the best pg in the state. Also, is anyone aware of where Neal Monson is being recruited? He is a great player. Watch out for both Judge and Waterford they could easily be seeing each other again in the state championship.

To: Yay and others

You are a little harsh on the 'Dogs.

Congrats to Waterford and Judge. These teams, actually, are similar in a few ways. They have smaller enrollments, but being a private school, have large advantages in whom they can have on the court. Can you imagine what Waterford will do in 2a next year!!

And Judge is going off to an easier region next year, and will continue to sleepwalk through most region games - and win. Judge should consider opting up to play 4a. Even in 'rebuilding' years, they find great talent. Too much of an advantage over 3a rural schools.

Judge Fan

Great game to BOTH teams! It was a good one to watch. Judge, keep your head up... it aint over!!!
Prove EVERYONE wrong. SHOW EM'.
You got tons of people at your back.

Private Schools

I love to see who wins the battle of the private schools. We get to see which coaches are the best recruiters. The Judge coaches will have to step up their recruiting efforts and they will. Much like Juan Diego did. Last year Juan Diego was terrible in Boys Basketball. What did they do? They hit the recruiting trail hard and now it is paying off.

Re: Private schools

Name one player on Waterford's starting line-up that wasn't on the team last year.. Not sure how Waterford can recruit when the tution is $17,000 for new students? Give it a break some private schools might recruit, but don't try to throw Waterford into that mix.

Both Judge and Juan Diego should be playing in 4A. It's always good to see Judge lose.

Good Job Waterford on beating the better team. Good Coaching is what wins it on Waterfords side they use there Stud Players Monson And Otiede use there strong points and works there team around them. A respectful private school not just a lets go find good players and beat these little 3A towns and win state every Year. Move Up and Play with Some Competition Judge and Juan Diego.

To Yah

You obviously know as much about basketball as you do grammar and spelling.Forums such as this can showcase your insight or your ignorance-- congratulations on achieving new heights on the latter. The bitterness and cowardice shown through your anonymous post tells us all we need to know

Congrats/revised prediction

I for one am excited to see this as an outsider. I considered going to the game as I anticipated something like this. No team that is so heavily guard oriented can consistently win night in and night out. Judge is VERY guard oriented and they were due for a poor shooting night. Waterford, on the other hand, is VERY post oriented.
I look for something similar to happen down south in region 9. Cedar will knock off the last remaining undefeated region team. Hurricane is very similar to Judge in that they are very perimeter oriented.
As state begins to pick up the more balanced teams will rise to the top. Waterford, Cedar, Logan and of course Bear River will prove to be the ones to beat as they are truly the only 4 well balanced teams in 3A this year.

I would like to thank posters like Yay and Anonymous for reinforcing my belief that sending my child to Judge Memorial is the correct choice. I'm certain he will never grow up to share the myopic perspective over something as trivial as a basketball game that Yay and Anonymous espouse. Or is it more deep rooted than just basketball or sport in general ?? I'm guessing neither has enjoyed the incredible educations that Judge, Waterford or Juan Diego offer. Both sad and pathetic.

The article was wrong 3A coach

Judge is 8-1, waterford is 7-2 wasatch is 6-3 waterford last to wasatch once and judge once the are in second but have to win on friday at uintah, and wasatch plays park city and they will win so its a big game for watorford, judge plays union and will win so judge will be the region champions.

shut up

everyone needs to stop trash talking. Waterford vs. judge could be the best game of the year and just goes to show that no team is untouchable. It also means that the team that wins state will be the team that shows up that night. Waterford got beat up by wasatch at wasatch then took it to judge on senior night. These three teams plus bear river all have a shot to win, it just depend on what they do about it.

thank you

LEROY JENKINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what

i was at the judge and wasatch games when they played waterford and they kept saying Leroy jenkins why is that. and what about their singing whats up with that

aww

someone needs to stop that leroy jenkins whoever he is he should be all state for sure leading the waterford defense to lock down every star player on every team they have played this year

to bb

who the heck is micheal brazell

Region 10

I think it's clear that Region 10 will make a strong showing in the state tournament. While Wasatch has a loss to Waterford, it was by one point. Wasatch also only lost to Judge by one point in their last match-up. I think it's safe to say that 3 of the 4 best teams in the state right now are from Region 10 (with the 4th being Bear River). It should be a great tournament!

mystery solved

Leroy Jenkins is not a player--duh. It's a reference to a World of Warcraft posting on YouTube where an idiot named Leroy Jenkins runs off on his own and gets everybody in the group killed. Pretty funny stuff...
