See, C.J. is back in and Korver is out and the Jazz lost to a team with a worse record. (Never mind that it was 3 games in 4 nights and on the road and all that stuff. Really it's C.J. and Jerry's fault.)
Not Jerry's fault. I think the responsibility is on Miller's son. He matched the contract. Now, Jerry is sticking with him out of respect for the new Jazz owner. Peace out!
basketball 101 would tell you a #3 should try to use some low post moves, use athleticism take it to the defense and draw some fouls ultimately resulting in free throws. Not someone standing outside the 3 point line, when i heard before game time he was starting i had a bad feeling. I think Miles would be better coming in off the bench, it is not a good thing when you hear a postgame quote from Dwill how we had no defensive game plan. Say and make excuses about how Golden State is better than theyre record, bottom line they are a bad basketball team that is why theyre record. If you look back at the Jazz and if they miss the playoffs, it is because over the last 2 years, they have lost way too many games on the road vs teams under .500. You can never make up losses when you lose to the Bobcats, Knicks, Wizards, Ok City, GS. I am hopeful back to back for the lakers and altitude, they will be off theyre game just enough Wednesday.
I hear a trade is in the works involving Amare and Boozer with some additional players???
Ummmmm.....Did you look at CJ's stats last night? Did you look at Korver's stats last night? Need I say more.......
Miles played well for just getting over being sick.
Milsap is tired and beat up.
Harpring is not a 4 he's a 3. (what happened to Koufos)
Collins is totally ineffective as a backup center.(Where is Fes back in the D league?)
Jerry is really stuggling as a NBA coach right now. His use of personel and stategies is very, very questionable.
I think after watching Korver start the previous two games it's quite obvious he is much more effective starting than coming off the bench.
What's wrong with bringing in Miles off the bench for some instant offense??
Yes you need say more. Korver is a smarter, less selfish player (not to mention he is a better shooter). I would much rather have Korver start because he never interupts our execution to throw up a questionable shot with 11 seconds left on the shot clock. He only takes his shot when hes wide open, or the clock is running out. I admit that CJ is an overall more talented player, but he seriously needs to mature before I admit that he deserves his starting spot.
Its pretty easy to have better stats than a bench player when youre starting and you throw up shots you never should be taking. He does make them sometimes, but I want to know how many he misses that we could get points if he had continued to execute and pass the ball.
Dont get me wrong I am rooting for CJ to do well. I just want him to think with his head and not the stat sheet for a change. Maybe then he will tap into that enormous amount of talent I keep hearing that he has, but ive rarely seen.
@ RE: MIles: Your kidding right? you said, "Its pretty easy to have better stats than a bench player when youre starting and you throw up shots you never should be taking" Wow that might be the dumbest statement ever declared on these boards. Miles was 3 - 8. Korver 3 - 12. So either Korver takes bad shots or he is just a bad shooter. Either way your post makes no sense. Miles missed 5 shots all night but yet he cost the team the game? Only Memo and Dwill shot better than him last night. If Korver is a better shooter and takes better shots, why did he shoot 25%? I am confused. CJ was a cold 38% but that's amazing compared to Korver's numbers since his shot selection was so much better and it was against the subs.
What happened to all the Korver bashers?
Okay, first of all calm down. Im not trying to knock on CJ, like I said im rooting for him to tap his potential. Also reread my post, i never said that CJ lost the game for us, our lack of defense did that.
I havent looked at overall stats for a while but last time I checked korvers overall 3 point shot percentage was higher.
Also like i said Miles is a more talented player, but a lot of shots I see him take and miss i really dont think he should be taking. At least when Korver misses most of the time its on a shot that was intentionally passed to him so he would shoot it. It just seems like (and remember this isnt just last night)CJ cuts off the execution and takes a shot which is fine by me if it goes in.
Here is a reply from DirecTV as to why they won't broadcast KJZZ.
Thanks for writing.
Please be informed that DIRECTV continues to be interested in reaching an agreement with KJZZ, but at this time we are not carrying the channel. Historically, KJZZ has made its signal available to DIRECTV at no charge and is also free over the air. Now KJZZ is requesting a significant fee for its programming and in this extremely difficult economic climate, these demands represent a potential burden on our customers. Though we did not want to take the station down, DIRECTV was notified by KJZZ that it would have to stop broadcasting its signal if we did not give in to their demands. We remain willing to carry the channel while both parties negotiate in good faith.
While a small number of Utah Jazz games are being shown on KJZZ the majority of Jazz games can still be seen on FSN Rocky Mountain, channel 683.
Sincerely,

miles will take over the world,he will dominate the lakers and kobe, mvp of the league, miles goes for 50 next game, superhero,
I am not a big Miles fan. I am for whoever plays well. None of the 2s or 3s are playing consistently well. That has been true much of the season.
Miles is out at the 3 line for reasons. Both Brewer and DWill tend to crash the boards and drive. He (or someone) has to be back. Miles also has contributed on kick outs for 3s. Some nights he is pretty good.
Basically as a starter Miles is the 4th or 5th offensive option. I think he would be better utilized and do better not starting.
Rarely has Miles been the difference in winning or losing. Once in a while he really lights it up. Sometimes he plays okay defense. He is mostly a cog in the starting machine and pretty interchangeable.
Some nights he is better and some nights Korver is better. I do not think the slow starts are CJs fault. Usually Okur and/or SAP get off to a slow start and nobody plays defense in Q1.
As far as CJ being a PG, I would like to see the results. Play him instead of Price in a blowout and see what happens.
I've already seen Miles play the point when Brevin and D-will were both out. He was very effective. Good passer, few turnovers, brings the ball up the floor very well pushing the offense and can hit the jumper if the shot clock is winding down. I've said it before I think he is the 2nd best point guard on this team. I would like to see play there again now we need it. I am confident he would be a better option than the back up points we have now.
As long as we have Brevin and Price on the team, you will not see CJ at the PG position. It would serve the Jazz well to get rid of Brevin and Price and move CJ into that position since we have Harpring, Korver and AK who play the 3. CJ is capable of playing the 1,2 or 3 position which makes him very valuable to the team in the future.
CJ could also play center in place of Okur. Further, once the Sloan haters get rid of Jerry, CJ could become player-coach, kind of like Lenny Wilkins and Bill Russell. I think we could put together a consortium and buy the team from the Millers. Although I have never been to Utah, it would be fun to be a part owner. I can contribute $6.78 to the cause but I could not add anything in the way of team management. I never had a chance to play in the NBA; too white and the red suit made me even slower.
when Miles is in the starting lineup,he should be the 3rd option at shooting guard, after Korver,Price and Almond, oops,I quess he`s the fourth option!!!
Wow CJ out for the two wins and then he comes back and the Jazz loose again..... figure it out CJ play some defense and maybe we can beat a good team and not some crapy team
Didn't Korver have like 9 rebounds in one game. That's like what 6 to 9 games for CJ? CJ shouldn't be a starter in the NBA period. I am still amazed that we traded for Korver and yet Jerry still refuses to put him in the starting line up when it's obvious that he plays better as a starter and wants to start. Miles I agree with you that CJ should play some point or even a forward point position like they do with AK. I would like CJ to go against 2 tier players and build up his confidence and his game before actually deserving to start and bring some youth to the second unit. With Brewer,CJ,Milsap and D-will they are good but to young to be a consistent starting unit. Also, Jerry for whatever reason wants Knight,Harpring,Korver,Collins to play in the second unit? Mix it up Jerry......one of the many reasons I am not a huge Sloan fan. When his system/style of play is working it's great and on nights when it's not, we get blasted by crappy teams.
