That's great now more construction in the so called money pit of salt lake and provo. Since the olympics the construction on highways up there hasn't stopped. What about the rest of the state? I-70 is a joke and what about us 6 from spanish fork to green river. That is the most dangerous highway in the state and they won't do anything with it. I've lived in Price for 42yrs and they keep talking they are gonna make it a 4 lane highway but talk is cheap and we keep sending our tax dollars to the money pit which the rest of us in the state that don't live in salt lake and Utah county call it.
Sorry Ron, but Provo really didn't get much out of the olympics construction. They did give a stop gate expansion a while back, but it was truly a band aid.
While I can definitely feel for your position, I don't feel it fair to categorize Utah County as a money pit. And in fairness to us, we collectively pay much greater amounts in transportation taxes, and the road has exponentially greater use, so there is a certain amount of fairness that we do see some improvements here.
Don't misunderstand me and think I am rubbing salt in the wound or not feeling for your case ... I live in Lehi and Main Street here is a joke, but as residents we can do NOTHING because it is a State Road. I understand your position ... just don't unfairly judge ours.
Can we please finish Commuter Rail to Provo before we start tearing up the only real method of transportation between Salt Lake City and Provo?
