Glad they are successful at making money. Even though their web site said they help everyone, my wife was turned away the morning of tumor surgery because we didn't have 25k cash for the 50% down payment. Nice.
IHC, a nonprofit, managed to help us and save my wife's life. They helped us get coverage but didn't wait around making impossible demands.
I know healthcare is a business but all my business will go to IHC, not timpanogas hospital or st. marks in Salt Lake. Their ceo's an biz managers may make investors happy, but they have no right to say they are willing to help the poor.
(In reference to the comment above)I'm sorry to hear of your experience but as a tenured hosptial administrator who has worked with one of Timp's sister hospitals I can say with authority that your story is full of misinformation. IHC is bound by the same rules and regulations as HCA (Timp) and they help people who can't afford to pay all of the time. You need to share all of the facts and not just give a drive-by shot at a very good, quality, hospital that is full of caring people. HCA would have and does help people get coverage for their care every single day.
