Could it get any worse?

Very hard seasono to watch

AK

what a baby. Seems like there is something wrong with the guy every season.

Chukar

There goes the playoffs....................

To: AK

How uncalled for. I'm sure you have always worked through every last sickness, broken bone, etc. you have had in your life. Give me a break!

Wyoming

It is funny how he has never had an injury when playing for his home country in the Olympics. I am tired of these overpaid babies. Trade him and Boozer now. I don't care who you get for them.

Deth

I say we tank the rest of the season like San Antonio did to get T. Duncan. I don't know if a T. Duncan is available in this next year's draft, but it will be better than barely making the playoffs, getting handled by the Lakers, getting a middle first round pick, and staying average for the foreseeable future.

Matt

Wow, the guy who wrote the "what a baby" comment is a loser. Probably the same type of fan who calls Boozer a wimp for having knee surgery.

You don't fake injuries. Jazz fans were just spoiled because Stockton and Malone were freaks of nature than never got injured, but the lack of respect they show is embarrassing.

They're done

Put a fork in the Jazz, they're done.

The Truth

Baby? no way! Ak is one of the hardest players in the NBA that's why he gets hurt. That plus the fact that he played a lot over the summer didn't help. AK,Booz and D-will all injured after the olympics, big suprise. At least DWill and Booz got a world championship this year! It's not like AK just has some loose particles floating around or anything. AK is a true warrior! Jazz are going to suffer while he is out especially with Booz also being out as well. Lottery here we come which might not be the worse thing. NY's lottery pick isn't a sure thing next year anyway. NY could actually still make the playoffs this year even with gutting their team, now that's some serious coaching!! Magnus you cursed the Jazz with your bold predictions and thinking that everyone was going to get healthy....is this the nail in the coffin?

LW JAZZ FAN

He might be able to play but not to the best of his ablity. Every one wants to play at their best. He might not help the team with him not playing at his best.
GIVE THE GUY A BREAK

To Deth

doe the Jazz have a first round pick this year? I thought they traded it away for Korver, who has been steller this year. At least with all the players having poor years they wont really want to opt out. Millsap is the only person who is over performing their contract.

DR J

OKAY FELLOW GURUS WHO WILL PICK UP THE SLACK FOR A.K
LOOKING TO GAIN AN EDGE IN MY FANTASY LEAGUES. BUT I DID PICK UP C.J.MILES.

Dang it

How stupid I was at the Jazz bbq yesterday and I asked Ak "hows your ankle doing" he said "its doing much much better it still hurts a little but its doing alot better"!!! Now surgery, this season has been very difficult to watch! Best wishes to you ak get better.

Miles

Chuckar......I see you are another fair-weather fan!!

re: to deth

The draft pick is top 22 protected so it's our pick this year.

To Deth

The Jazz's first round pick this year is protected, so that if they pick between 1 and 22 they will still have the pick this year, but if they were to finish among the top 8 teams in the NBA (which doesn't seem likely this year) the pick will go to Philly.

This may be a good year to have our traded pick slide to next year by falling out of the top 8, and we can use the Knick's pick next year that will definitely be ours.

L.A. Jazz Fan

I wish AK a speedy and full recovery from Friday's surgery. The Jazz will be fine in the long run. I don't believe tanking the season is the key. I actually believe that the Jazz should do the best they can. And, consider acquiring someone to help for the next month while the team still misses Boozer and Kirilenko.

If the Jazz are not going to acquire anyone then they need to continue developing Koufos, Fesenko, Almond, CJ Miles, etc. The young ones need to step up and help at this time with the veterans out.

For those dissing AK or Boozer: Shame on yourselves for being so out of touch to forget your own humanity and humility. You guys come across sounding like ignorant monsters. Remember the Jazz are a basketball team; they are not more important than a human being's health/well-being. If AK played on that ankle he would only hurt himself/the Jazz. That's why we are here posting on these blogs and the team of professional doctors/trainers/surgeons are dealing with AK's health.

Go Jazz!!!

Ouch! the cursed dagger to to my heart...

Back when the Jazz lost to the Knicks in November I predicted that they could make the playoffs in the east. D'antoni is an amazing coach, but his teams have really struggled in the post season. Alot of people blame his system, I'm not so sure. It is a shame they blew up that Suns team.

I don't think the Jazz should tank, but here is an interesting scenario for all of you "the Jazz need to trade everyone and start over" fans out there.

Lets say they have a tough summer and lose Boozer and Memo, then they struggle next year miss the palyoffs. Then suppose that the Knicks, who have their sights set on Lebron and others in '10, don't get any better next year and miss the playoffs again.

If that happened the Jazz would have 2 Lottery picks and, if they could dump AKs salary (lets be honest, that is not going to happen, but lets pretend), a boat load of cap room to play with in '10, and a solid base of Millsap, Williams and Brewer. Not bad...

Wait, wait, wait...

You mean he's not going to wait a month or two to get 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th opinions and then wait 2 more weeks to have a routine surgery? You mean he wants to be back, helping the team as soon as possible. WOW, I din't know you could do that. I'll bet he wants a raise too. Wait, that's Carlos Loozers injury recovery plan.
