Millsap has earned

a lot of respect from opposing commentators and fans.

Tuffy Parker

Interesting story but perhaps naive. In past years the Jazz of done plenty of lobbying for several players - including much effort on behalf of Karl Malone.

Also, from a team wellness perspective why would Jazz management want D-Will playing all-star weekend rather than getting some much needed rest?

Re: Tuffy Parker

I see your point about getting well-rested, but it might give the Jazz some much needed confidence by having an all-star.

MIles

Boozer makes the All-Star team for highest paid player per minute played. Dwill makes the All-Star team for most over-rated point guard of the season. AK for being the most fragile player in the league. Millsap for being the most underpaid player in the league. CJ for the most improved player in the league.

Dapper2k

Wow, if Memo, Milsap are truly deserving of being an allstar we would have a better record with them.

As much as I like Milsap he's not yet an allstar. He's playing well but not at that level. I think Okur would have had a chance had he played well after the 43 point game but he had 2 very poor games right after and this on the same week that coaches were voting so I don't think he will make it.

Williams I believe deserves it but with the ankle injury and slow start coming back from it he will have to wait until next year.

No Jazz representation at the Allstar game and I think it's about right. Hopefully next year we will have a couple who deserve to be there.

HA HA

That's a good one Miles. I didn't know you were a comedian as well. CJ for the most improved player? I doubt that. He's an average shooter with average defense. Those high flying dunks he makes still only count as 2 points. I know you are President of the "CJ Miles is the greatest ever" fan club, but get real.

Re: Miles

Miles.....First off Dwill is absolutely not the most over-rated PG. He is not having the geatest season, but he is still top 5. AK is fragile, but let's not blow it out of proportion. And CJ is definitely NOT the most imporoved player in the league. Not even close!! I like his potential, but he has only had a handful of good games this year. He played well Tuesday...let's see if he keeps it up.

RE: Miles

Your posts are incredibly lame. CJ most improved? D Will overrated? cmon' man seriously what kind of delusional are you?

Ive heard this "D-Will is overrated" crap a few times now. Seriously what are people thinking? Sure his stats are down a little bit this season because he spent the first half of it overcoming an injury. But for the past couple weeks he has been a serious stud. He and Millsap are the only two that have been playing consistently throughout this little slump were in. (barring millsaps injury and his one early return game).

Miles

Sorry, I meant C.J. for most disappointing player in the league. Honest mistake.

smallguy

CJ has great dunks and is a stud. the coach however has been in the league for 22 years and has no championships to his name enuff said..

Dwill

Ill take DWill any day for the first player on my NBA team. Ill take Milsap too, while we are at it. They probably wont make all-star again, but maybe thats good for the Jazz. Dwill tends to kick some royal booty after being snubbed by all star games. Plus, just about every time he plays Chris Paul (except for the last time) he schools him. Im beginning to think they are going to just keep snubbing DWill just like they snub Sloan every year for coach of the year.

Miles

Learn to read. I said, Most over-rated point guard of the season". I didn't say Dwill was a a bad player or not better than most. I said, most over-rated point guard this year, which he is.

CJ is the most improved player in the league. Name a player who sat the bench all last year and now is doing what CJ is doing? There is no one who went from 0 minutes to starting since last year.

AK is fragile. Give me a year since he came to Utah that he hasn't had injuries?

Miles

miles is astud,i love the way heplays basketball, the 2nd coming of mj,mvp ofthe league,

L.A. Jazz Fan

I think that Deron Williams is an All-Star; and Millsap is an All-Star to be. Millsap may be the most improved player in the league. He's stepped into big shoes and done better than expected.

Note to Miles (the poster): You will be respected when you make comments that are not biased. And what kind of Jazz fan would throw their own star point guard under the bus like you did?

Williams' Stats are similar to Stockton's career stats (Williams is averaging 17 pts and 10 assists this season; Stockton averaged 13.1 points and 10.2 assists a game in his career). Don't sell DWill short on his accomplishments this year despite his injuries. Stockton averaged 12 points and 8.5 assists in 97-98 when he missed the first 18 games due to surgery/recovery.

Go Jazz!!! Here's best wishes to a better second half of the season.

no one on this team should be an allstar!!! this is the most ov errated team in the nba

To LA Jazz Fan

When Stockton played, the Jazz averaged a lot less points. Can't compare the two eras. Back in the day, the Jazz played some D.

magnus

Personally, I'm glad they are all staying home... they need the rest. I think not sending a single palyer to the All-Star game could be the best thing to happen to the Jazz all season.

Re: Anonymous

How can you say we're the most overrated team in the league?!? NOBODY picks us to do anything, ever! For the most part, we're playing pretty well this season, but seem to let some good games slip away at the end.

Can somebody get rid of the Lakers fans on this site?

Anoymous

I think the only true all stars on the Jazz team are Milsap and D-Will. Their play is proof they belong with the elite. Paul Milsap brings it game after game after game. Consistantly.
Memo would get my vote if he were a better defender.
It's not to say the rest of the Jazz are shabby, they aren't but mostly the numbers are not consistantly good. In order to be an all star players have to find a way to bring their A game to every game. I don't see that happening to the Jazz besides Milsap and D-Will.

PurplePeopleEater

This team is bombing the way BYU's football (and now basketball) teams did this year. Sad to watch. Maybe next year the Jazz won't have such an injury-ridden season. Maybe they can lose enough games the rest of the way to pick up another high draft spot. Still a young team. Plenty of time to jell and make some title runs.
