yeah yeah. Sex offender rules tighten. Now thats an original

Why should an exception be made if it is the child's natural parent?

You have to be careful here, because many times it can be a member of the family that molests the child, even the father.

Very seldom do you have strangers molesting a child.

Ridiculous.

This is "make you happy" legislation at best.

You need a special law for asking a child under 14 to go with you, for any reason, even if the child flees?

Pretty sure that's already a crime. This is just a politician trying to look like he's making a difference by weighing our already weighty political legal system down.

This is akin to the movie "Minority Report", i.e. arresting someone for something they might do. But since it has to do with those loathsome, feared "evil sex offenders" it will pass with no opposition, no debate and no thought. Never mind the fact that most offenses are committed by someone known and trusted by the victim, and 9 times out of 10, by someone not on any registry.

Unbelievable!

This is sooooo ridiculous! Why can't we focus on things more important? I am all for protecting our children and in no way do i justify what sex offenders do, but most (i like to believe), just make a stupid mistake and want to correct their lives. We all make mistakes and punishing these offenders continually isn't helping them! What about all the other problems that families face--like drugs, abuse, even keeping their homes. Parents need to parent and know where their children are--it's that simple...why should the government have to step in and make more laws?--just a politician trying to do some good and get the "publics" approval i would say.
