As in this story is absurd.
"'You've got so much power � before you write this we should have more discussion,' he said in an absurd overestimation of critics' cultural influence"
Since when does a reporter make editorial comments? I always thought a reporter's job was to report and not editorialize.
Further, I think the reporter is wrong. Think of the power that a "two thumbs up" tag from Siskel and Ebert had.
Get into life and don't let other determine the life you should have without fully investigating, meditating and coming up with your own conclusion. Others who you trust can help and encourage the thought process, but in the end it is up to us to formulate our opinions.
