LOL - these "green" stars then get in their private jets and fly back to their mansions.

Same with the inaugguration. Carpet made from recycled materials where hundreds of thousands get on planes? I'm not into the whole green movement either but I see a contradiction.

Good for the airlines and the economy of DC and surrounding areas.

I"m sure Ed (Living with Ed) will drive in his energy saving car, but the rest of them will fly.
I go one better, Redford | 7:16 a.m. Jan. 20, 2009
"Redford sipped from a reusable green Nalgene bottle "

I didn't have to buy a new plastic bottle to drink from; I use a 32-oz Gatorade bottle. It's easier to keep clean, too.

Of course, it's not "trendy".

Hollywood celebrities, pretending to live Earth-friendly lifestyles.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Redford.

Isn't that a non-reusable cup in the cupholder on the stroller?

Oh yea, redford is green. Big deal he throws this bash so he can make money and be in the highlight reels, in the meantime all these people coming to the party drive cars and fly in with jets polluting the air in an area that is socked in with bad air. redford is an idiot, he should be a politician then everyone would know when he opened his mouth anything coming out would be a lie.
Was that him? | 11:50 a.m. Jan. 20, 2009
Last week, did anyone notice the number of Limo's on the freeway? Our fine friends of film do need to get about town, you know.

is greenies poster boy. It is all show and no go.
"Standing in the way of progress" is his motto.
Going Green is stupid | 11:59 a.m. Jan. 20, 2009
In reality the "Green" movement is to make the poorest people suffer while the rich buy their "Carbon Credits" so they can feel good about themselves. The Green movement is the most hypocritical thing on earth. It makes the poor suffer with higher prices for energy and fuel. I'm sure everyone is ok with reducing our need for non-renewable resources because once they are gone, they are gone. We are ok with recycling so we don't have landfills all over the country. But seriously, the idea that we need to reduce our carbon footprint is a joke. Who decides how much carbon credits are available to people? Do rich people with big homes get more than me? Can I sell mine?

The fact that the media doesn't call these people out is why newspapers are going under. People can't trust the media to report the news.

Also the poorest are even more food insecure. Rice, bean and cooking oil prices are through the roof. When you make a few dollars a day and live in a hut made of scraps you can't afford for rice, beans and oil to cost $1.40 instead of $1.00.

Where is all that carbon credit $ going? It sounds like paid indulgences from centuries past.

Robert Redford and his rich cronies make me sick along with all this GREEN crap. It is ok for him to cut down our forest for his resort and make him $$$, but drill a few holes for oil or gas....NO you will destroy the environment! Blah, blah, blah....just a bunch of uneducated hollywood hypocrits attempting to tell the rest of us what to do and when to do it. Recycle, yes....Green/Carbon footprints...NO! Oh wait, its fashionable.

poor kids sitting out in the cold when they could home where it's warm...

I appreciate what the parents are doing but when it comes to kids, let them make their own choices later on in life when they become of age to make the choice and not go strictly with what Mom and Dad expects them to do.

Everybody who is making fun of or complaining about being green... have you seen the sky over most of populated Utah lately? They have issued health warnings for everybody and are telling people to stay inside. You are the arrogant people that are making our air unbreathable. Please, for the sake of people who enjoy being able to go outside, change the way you think!
