Had there not been a photo, or had I not made it through to the last paragraph of this article, I would not have known what this artist does, other than lead a Latin band of some sort.

How about letting me know a little sooner into the story that he was a percussionist. Not all of us are such musicologists as you apparently are, or you think we apparently are.
