Too bad

I would have loved a feature length film. They need to open this closed society.

First of all I have been around for 60 years. My great grandparents were polygamists. It was always something our family members hated to talk about. Believe me, it was not a good practice in any way. My first visiting teaching partner I had as a young woman hated polygamy, she was at least old enough to be my grandmother, and she would always tell me stories on the horrors of polygamy. She would let me know continuously how her mother suffered with polygamy. And how her family went without food and clothing and lived in a shack, while the first wife had everything with many luxuries. I think the church hides a lot on how the women were truly treated back in those days and the men try to glamorize the stories just a bit. People in the church ignore this part of history, and this bothers me just a bit.

Barbara #2 cont....

I heard many, many stories about polygamy while growing up from different LDS friends of mine, and I dont believe that all LDS women went around lying to how their families suffered with the practice of polygamy. I believe in telling the truth and not covering the tracks of some old indulging men.

Why make a joke out of it now?

I say bring on the women. I need at least ten wives. It would be more satisfying to have a good many of them to satisfy my needs. Yummy! And by the way, old BARB! it's a man world.
