Why hasn't Willie read her book? If so, then how can he put down what is in it?

The truth will set you free.

I would like to buy this book. Good for this young lady. Willie will just have to live with it.

This is an excellent book and I recommend it highly! The article is correct, she is brave. I live in Southern Utah and even attended Southern Utah University at the same time as Carolyn Jessop. We graduated the same year and the photo of Carolyn at graduation shaking the hand of Jerry Sheratt (former SUU president and mayor of Cedar City)made me wonder if we had education classes together. The FLDS people do keep to themselves and I rarely see them except at Costco or Wal-Mart in St. George. After reading the book and watching everything that has happened in the news, I try to be friendly and say "hello" to these women and children when they are in St. George. I hope the FLDS will realize someday that we on the outside are not the enemy and evil. Carolyn was so brave to escape with no resources and the threats she received after leaving were frightening. Keep up the good work Carolyn. I wish you the best in your life today.

The polygamist need to be known for what they truly are. FLds are not a religious group, they are child rapist. I'm happy for Carolyn Jessop and her book.
lies lies and more lies | 3:23 p.m. Jan. 14, 2009
nothing in her book is true. I've known her since she was a little girls, and she got in more trouble for lying than anything else.

how can you so easlie believe all the junk she writes? she only did it for the money.

I know her father and he is a very rightus man. There is no reason for him to do the things she says. She just didn't like following the rules.

We are a kind and loving people. And stop picking on Willie. He's just doing what is best for us.

I just don't understand why everyone keeps saying bad things about us. We live a God fearing life.

I agree with lies, lies, and more lies, to some degree. As her cousin, I heard a lot about her "wanting things" and complaining when she got them. Her mother (and all of her uncles) hated Merrill Jessop, why she ever married him in the first place is beyond me.

I figured someone would agree with me. Unfortunately, I posted that as a joke.

She married merrill because she was told it was God's will. Anytime you isolate someone, indoctrinate them into believing that someone knows God's will, and train them to obey, then you can get them to do anything.

That's the problem with religions like FLDS - it is based on fear and intimidation.

Once you all stop throwing out phrases like "God's will" then your people can make free choices. No one knows God's will - why do you insist on telling people that you do? All you accomplish is driving fear into a lot of people.

For a group of people that say they are for love, you all certainly do prey on people's fears...
God's Love | 10:40 a.m. April 3, 2009
As a servant of God, one seeks to humbly assist others rather than controling them for selfish gain. God gave us a great example of love by allowing his son, "JESUS CHRIST" to died for the sins of this world, so we can have life eternal. If he did that for us, what gives anyone the right to Lord over others. God asked us to fear Him,which means respect. He never asked us to be afraid of Him or anyone else. These leaders in the FLDS are not GOD. I Corinthians 7:2 says ,Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. Not multiple wives. God is not pleased if those evil things are going on in the FLDS and HE will judge. Jesus said in Luke 17:2 "It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. It also says in Galatians 6:7, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. This is God's True Word.
