Obama is involved in this but he will never, never be investigated! Another corrupt, hypocritical democrat who will get away with his crimes and join the ranks of Bill, Hillary, Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank, Wm. Jefferson, Sandy Burger, and on and on goes the list!

From my seat here in central IL, the man wreaks of corruption. He insists that he did nothing wrong. Of course not. When one is morally bankrupt, there is no right or wrong only what gets you ahead.

These Democrats, from the president on down, have now defined themselves, clearly, as all bark and no bite. They will say one thing, strictly to appease the conservatives, the press, and those who have a conscience, then they will do the opposite, exactly what they intended to do from the beginning.

Before the next four years come to an end, this country is going to wondering how they could have voted so stupidly.

How is Obama involved in this at all? What supposed evidence do you have of that statement? What do you know that nobody else in the country (including the FBI) knows and how did you figure it all out?

And why would Obama involve himself at all in such an illegal and insignificant matter? He was about to be nomiated to the highest position in the country. Getting involved would only hurt him, and would not benifit him at all.

Why don't you think next time, before you go spouting off crap about how terrible democrats are. I can't wait till this country starts heading back in the right direction. The only sad thing is that all the Utah conservatives will stammer around, and continue to deny any good that Obama will bring, all because "he's a democrat".

I tend to agree with you but something interesting, if you substitute "Obama" for "Bush" and "democrat" for "republican" throughout your entire post, that's exactly what conservatives have been saying for years when democrats ridicule, accuse and vilify anything 43 has done. Does it go both ways?

Give it a rest. 10:10 is right that there's nothing showing Burris as any kind of crook, or we would no doubt know it by now. If you have evidence of criminal activity, say so instead of simply showing off your superior cynicism. Even if Burris were Satan himself, he's only one vote in the Senate. You're just sore the seat didn't go to either Alan Keyes or one of the Bush twins.

No one's saying Burris is guilty of anything. The fact that Blago looks very guilty of "Pay for Play" politics certainly raises the question about anyone he might appoint to the Senate. If you can't see that, then you're beyond help. I don't necessarily think they should deny Burris his seat but there should be a fairly in-depth investigation into it considering the circumstances. The best possible outcome for this fiasco, and what the people of Illinois deserve, is a special election. Blago decided he's beyond reprehension.

I'm not defending Blago, but do you think other state pols on both sides of the aisle never cut deals for Senate seats? Or for bridges. Or for roads. Or for government contracts. Pay for play is wrong, but it's not unique to Illinois.

I don't understand why some people keep trying to drag Obama into the fray; Blago made it clear on the FBI tape what he thinks of Obama and how Obama would offer nothing but appreciation. Instead, we get the opinion that Obama is involved but will never be investigated. Give me a break. When you shoot blanks like that, your credibility is nil.
