"....pose no security risk and should be released". Yah right! If they are in Gitmo they are there for a reason, and it's not because they were poor unfortunate souls who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is time we woke up and realized that this war on terrorism IS a real war, and we can't protect our nation by just looking at the world through naive, rose-colored glasses.

Gee ... freed from Gitmo and they still want to kill us?

Who'd a thunk it?

Ridgerunner

Is anyone suprised these terrorists go back to the battlefield to kill more innocent people? What does is Obama thinking he is doing, freeing innocent victims? Liberals never understand our enemies and this proves it! Now more innocent people will be murdered by these thugs, compliments of Obama!

Mama

Gee..... what'll we do? Guess we should leap over our own laws and just kill 'em all. The right wingers love throwing our weight around so we can look real tough to the world. Yea.

Chip

I'm certainly glad the Brookings Insitute doesn't run our Defense department.

The solution

250 bullets correctly placed. Either let me do it or send me the bill.

KM

One thing Bush got right was the fact that we are in a war with radical islam.

In WW2 the US would have interrogated these scumbags and then executed them. But, we are so much more refined today, we interrogate them and then tell them we are sorry for so doing. Then its off to fight us again. All this niceness will come back to bite us in the butt.

Naive- having or showing a lack of experience, judgment, or information

Have you fought in this "real war". What experience or information are you using to come to this conclusion?

"Is anyone suprised these terrorists go back to the battlefield to kill more innocent people?"

What battlefield? Innocent people? If you mean US soldiers, they aren't innocent, they're legitimate military targets who are acceptable to engage in a "real war".

"Liberals never understand our enemies and this proves it!"

Your comments only prove that you don't understand our enemy and apparently based on the current administrations foreign policy I would have to say the republicans don't either.

"The right wingers love throwing our weight around so we can look real tough to the world."

One sided view. Review your recent history objectively. The dems love tossing our weight around just as much.

We would probably be better off. The idiots there right now don't have a clue.

"In WW2 the US would have interrogated these scumbags and then executed them."

How many intelligence officers from WW2 have you talked too? What history book did you read that said during WW2 our service men cast aside their morals and due process?

"Then its off to fight us again."

Carried a gun into combat lately? You must have. You speak like you actually have to face off with these people.

I am astounded at the claims that people are willing to make without any real factual basis. This day in age we are given instant access to hordes of information at our finger tips yet people still choose to make a judgment based on emotion, hearsay, urban legend, Hollywood movies...etc. Everything but the facts.

What unit do you serve with? What federal agency do you work for? Clearly, you've never had to take a human life. It's easy to play tough guy from the lazy boy.

Brian

Oh good, ONLY 87 terrorists (???)

RedShirt

Tough decision, Obama has promised to close it down, but now that he is getting all of the information, has found out that he can't close it down without endangering more lives.

I guess that once Obama gets all of the same information the Bush has had, he will end up being Bush's 3rd term, not McCain.

Of course they will seek out militant groups. Love or hate. Do we negotiate or fight. Thinkers and those who want real, positive change for the absolute good for you, me and this planet (mother earth)...they negotiate. High school bully mentality haters with low iqs jump right on in to kill. Love or hate. If nazis had put you or me in death camps complete with torture and all that goes with it, we would want revenge also. Of course they will seek out militant groups. That's what we get for allowing nazis to run this country for eight years... hate returned.

Kevin

Did not know where they were what they had done but could tie them by using fingerprints and DNA that is quite something.
