Invalidate the election | 4:41 a.m. Jan. 14, 2009
This kind of political manuvering by opponents in an election should invalidate the election until this kind of charges are fully invetigated. To have an unopposed or questionable misconduct charge filed by an opponent in an election is not fair to the people of Utah and its election processes. Most elected officals in Utah have no ethics and they are pledged to party rules and party favortism for financial gain, this is pure bribary and unethical elections.

Just Do It | 12:23 p.m. Jan. 14, 2009
If everyone agrees that there has to be an independent ethics group to investigate political corruption - JUST DO IT!

The Republicans and Democrats both say they want it and the public is begging for it - let's watch and see with their actions who needs to be removed from office...

I think its kind of deceiving to report that Rep Hughes was cleared of all charges. I understand the vote was 4 to 4 and since they could not get a majority, they voted unanimously for some kind of censure that would require him to issue an apology of sorts.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
