Espndola is the best striker that RSL has had. It would be a shame if they didn't bring him back.
Barring injury, he would/will be among the league's top scorers.
I agree with Ivo. Espindola is definitely a threat up top and an asset to RSL.
I agree with you Ivo... Espindy was the best striker RSL had WHEN HEALTHY. Unfortunately, that hasn't been very often over the past season and a half, so I support RSL's decision not to commit the same type of money and dedication to him as they did to Morales and Olave. Both of those players proved that they could contribute at a high level consistently... Fabi has never done that.
I like Espindola and want him back. I would like to see him for a whole season. His goal scoring ability would put him in contention for the league golden boot and RSL back in the playoffs. I really hope that they work something out.
I like Espy (when healthy), but that has been rare. I believe that the money was better spent on Olave and Morales.
With Yura starting to really become an effective player this may not hurt us too bad if Mosi will keep up his end of season form all through 2009.
why would they do that? he is AMAZING
Probably because his salary is AMAZING
Well this better not mean that we will continue to see Mathis up top next season. Yes, he did an alright job keeping things flowing from the mid to the forward level. However, as a striker, you are only as good as the goals you score... How many does Mathis have since coming back?
Bench him, bring back Fabi, and play the Dr please
Wow. I sure hope this is the management's way of lowering his contract. I think it would be so dumb to lose a guy like Espindola. He is very good and he links up better with Morales than anyone on the field. He was our most dangerous player up front, and he was really creative on the ball.
I agree that because he was injured a lot of the season that he should expect somewhat of a pay decrease this season. But we should not lose him.
