Hate to sound like a fanboy or whatever, but I really couldn't disagree with you more on Final Crisis. It's been exciting, intelligent and challenging in ways most superhero comics have no right to be. Stands heads above about 80% of DC's superhero line.
A point of clarification: Mon-El is a Daxamite, an off-shoot of the Kryptonian people, with a weakness to the element lead, poisoning from which accounts for his health-related residency in the Phantom Zone.
sorry, KP, but I didn't enjoy Final Crisis (so far!) either.... It's a mess...
And the payoff for Secret Invasion was that the Wasp was killed (and the only casualty in a big war????).
Sorry, these big event series are a waste of time.
And we all believe Batman is dead forever, right?
I also have to disagree with your opinion on Final Crisis, I think it's challenging the heroes in many ways and asking very important questions to the characters. Plus you also have to look at things in the long run. They Killed of J'onn they're probably killing off Batman. But look at what "In Blackest Night" promises us, odds are all the death is just for a good reboot of comics into the modern era.
