I'm pretty sure Barbara J. and her daughter weren't laughing. Eight more months of foster care? More like a prison sentence. Hopefully this poor family can make it through this.

The "possible placement" the article refers to may be her mother. Texas has found she has been trying to become compliant with the family plan, so if not with her, probably with another family member. Don't think she is going to remain in foster care until Sept 28

Yes, juli, this miraculous turn around in her compliance is no doubt due to her demand for a jury trial. I agree, there's no way the girl will remain a hostage until September.

Girl or Wife......?

As I recall she was married a couple of years ago. Perhaps she is missing her children which are hidden somewhere?

She's NOT a hostage. Texas is doing their job unlike Utah & AZ. Keeping her safe from that horrible mother of hers. Marrying your 12 y/o daughter to an OLD man. Hide behind your "cloak" of religion. it's STILL against the law.

A good MOTHER teaches DIGNITY, SELF-WORTH, SELF-STEAM, TO LOVE YOUR SECRED FEMALE BODY; every mother has an obligation to teach her children what INSEST and child sexual abuse is. Sadly these are all concepts that WOMEN growing in POLYGAMY never learn. These young girls are breed to open their legs to men who claim are their GODS. You can only IMAGINE how SICK these women become, in order to believe their men can take them to heaven.
This young woman is better-off ANY WHERE but with a mother like hers and back in that SECT.
