who needs him?
please opt out,BOOZER I'm sure there are other suckers in the NBA willing to pay more for a guy who disappears in the big games and spends more time BEHIND the BENCH MODELING THE latest FASHIONS HIS WIFE BOUGHT FOR HIM THAN ON THE FLOOR CONTRIBUTING TO THE TEAM!

Give Boozer a break. He has done well for the Jazz. Having both Millsap and Boozer healthy will be a great advantage for the playoffs. Next year will take care of itself.

Who needs Boozer? The Jazz need Boozer. Without Boozer, we are going nowhere in the playoffs. Just because you can't afford a nice Armani suit doesn't mean that Boozer shouldn't wear one. I mean really, do you want him to dress in a skater outfit with his van shoes? Or perhaps you like the Allen Iverson look? Boozer dresses like a professional. Seems like a good thing to me.

Agreed, we need both Boozer and Milsap for the home stretch and hopefully the playoffs. Wow, what a steal Milsap has turned out to be! The reality however, is that with so many people due to get new contracts, with Milsap's value going off the charts, and all the money the Jazz gave AK-47, there is no way to keep everyone and stay under the cap in the future. Good luck KO! Obviously there are some disadvantages to having such depth - good players want good money. If you give the lion's share to one or two players, nothing is left for everyone else. With Utah's small market, they're not going to make it up in ticket sales.

The Jazz bench is formidable! They deserve alot of credit! The starting five always get the favorable press! So glad to see the "Bench" getting noticed!!!
They are the work horses of the team!

Many of the "Bench" players could be starters anywhere else!!!

Where have we gone with boozer?

jazz players has always been very special. A lot of players were forced to be traded before because of salary caps. That's how good Jerry as a coach. He makes players better. It's just the business of the league.
Mr. Milsap to you... | 3:46 p.m. Jan. 8, 2009
Boozer is a great player when his head and heart are in it, even on defense. However, his heart is often not in it and he often plays ole' defense, and lumbers up the floor like a camel.

Milsap is a better long-term option. He is still improving in all facets of his game, which is not something I can say about Boozer. I believe he has reached his ability limit. Just my take.

Milsap will also NOT demand max money, will stay humble, and WILL come to play with head and heart every night. When I think of Milsap's mentality, behavior, and work-ethic, I am reminded of a certain "under-sized" point guard the Jazz used to have a few years back who turned out to be pretty stinkin' good. Milsap is POSSIBLY (just possibly) the power forward version of that tough no-nonsense future hall-of-famer. Mark my words folks.

Boozer isn't going anywhere! Locke told KOC about the small contingent of you Bandwagoners who think Millsap should replace Carlos because he was a better value, played defense etc. O'Conner;s answer....."I'll say this to the bandwagoners, we,(the Jazz) would like to see them both on the court together. Would you like to see MORE better players or LESS better players on the team?"

As for Millsap, he'll take every dime he can get just like all the rest. You'll notice Deron didn't leave anything on the table.

And by the way, that pint sized point guard doesn't work here anymore.
you see... | 9:56 a.m. Jan. 9, 2009
The Jazz will TRY to resign Boozer (barring a ridiculously high offer from Miami, Detroit, etc), they will definitely resign Millsap, no matter what. My guess is they will also keep Korver and Brewer but let Mehmet go.

KOC is right, as usual. Boozer's a great player and Millsap's a great player. I like Millsap better, like the marjority of Jazz fans I think.
Jazz brass will have a nasty offseason; I wouldn't like to be in their pants coming May... but I certainly give them credir for their work and trust them, so I'll be content that whatever they'll do will be the best option available.

RE: Re Mr. Milsap to you...

Pardon me for being realistic and making reasoned observations, both of which you obviously have no grasp. The Jazz can not afford BOTH Boozer and Milsap. Max money to Boozer, given the team's salary cap challenges next year, simply will not fly. If Boozer wishes to stay, the Jazz will either have to take a major luxury tax hit, OR, he will have to take less money. The former is likey to occur when pigs fly. The later when pigs, cows, and the Jazz front office fly. KOC was talking about this year. He is not delusional enough (read what you like into that) to believe he can keep both next year.

Milsap is a better value in that he will not get max money from ANYONE given the other names on the market, and will be a better long-term player. I much prefer the Jazz keep both, but it is simply not reaslistic, unless the Jazz suddenly decide to pay luxury tax, or Boozer's value goes down.

BTW, that pint sized guard is THE example of class. Remember that! I was simply giving Milsap the ultimate compliment from a Jazz perspective.

I heard the same interview with Locke. O'Conner was very pointed in saying he'd rather have them both on the floor at the same time. There's no doubt in my mind that KOC knows exactly what he can and can't get done. And incidently, that interview is still available as a podcast on 1320 KFAN.

You fly all the pigs you want, getting rid of one or the other is a step backward. I'm for keeping them both.
