Maybe Almond who will get the start, I think Sloan prefers Korver off the bench
and in the closing minutes. I thought CJ played much better on both ends of the
floor last night. He looked like he wanted to help on D and got in for a couple
of rebounds. I like CJ and hope he gets better quick.
I think Almond is a great choice because he has a great shot, likes to drive to the hole and is playing good D. They may move AK to the starting 3 against Detroit, and they may rotate Koufos in at the 4 and play Millsap some at the 3 against them. It will be interesting.

The NBA needs to examine the move where defenders simply slide under the shooter
with their legs extended so that shooters come down and land on the
defender's feet, twisting their ankles.
Sure, there is momentum that carries a defender into the shooter's space, but more and more, it seems that these injuries are the result of poor defense and possible cheap shots. I know that the one D-Will suffered was a total cheap shot from unmentioned rookie in Chicago.
Just like the NFL protects the quarterback, there should be some guideline to protect shooters already in the air.

Isn't it interesting. This year TV viewers will face loosing all TV with
this digital thing and even before this happens in February, now Direct TV and
KJAZZ get into a tiff and that station goes off the air.
Lets see Gas Prices are going up again, The Government is 1.2 Trillion in Debt this Year and Jobs are hard to find.
What do you think would happen if private citizens decided to just say bag all of this and stopped watching TV, Stopped using their Gas Hogs so much and Voted all these big spenders out for wasting their money? Do you think we might prosper?

I thought we let him go to the Thunder during the offseason. I haven't
seen him perform in a Jazz uniform yet this season. I'm thinking we likely
won't miss him while he's sitting in his Armani suit next to the
"quad strain" (wink wink).

I think Almond could possibly get a chance at the starting position. If
it's not him it will most likely be Price. Sloan will want to keep his
bench rotation the way it is with Korver and AK coming off early.

But if your injury is what it takes to get this hard headed coach we have to
finally try something different at the start of games so be it. Once again the
start of last nights game was not good, and it will come back and bite them real
hard if it continues. There are 3 or 4 players that can step in and start, but
the nightly match ups is what would or should determine that. Hopefully this
injury will be a blessing in disguise.

With CJ hurt I will probably go on vacation. There will be no reason for me to
watch the Jazz. Harpring will start before Almond will start. Why does
everyone think that Almond is a 3 along with Korver? All season long CJ and AK
share the 48 minutes at the 3. Once in a great while, someone else uses those
minutes but it is very sparingly. Harpring may play some of those minutes in
the future.

Why would KJZZ think that DirectTV should pay for a free local TV station? If
DirectTV broke precedent and paid for a "free over the air channel"
then they would have to be paying for them all over the country which would
ultimately dramatically increase satellite TV rates WHICH YOU PAY!!!
So ultimately KJZZ wants you to do their lobbying at DirecTV for them so YOU CAN PAY HIGHER RATES!! Great plan KJZZ!!

I think CJ will get nearly as many rebounds and/or defensive stops over the next
couple of weeks, while he is injured, as he has had all season.

Ronnie Brewer is long and athletic enough to play small forward. I'd like
to see him start at SF, and Morris Almond at shooting guard. If Almond gets
consistent minutes, I think he has the capability of equalling or exceeding C.J.
Miles' production.

I completely agree with giving Almond the chance to get some minutes. He
hustles more on defense then most of the other guards, and he can rebound. What
he does need to work on is finishing around the rim, but I think he is more then
capable of doing that. He is a good at taking the ball to the basket and is a
great free throw shooter.

Although Millsap is capable playing small forward, I think he's far more
effective when he's cleaning up around the basket in the power
forward/center position. For instance, in last night's game, he was just
too powerful for any of the Hornets' big men to handle (with the possible
exception of Tyson Chandler). At SF, he wouldn't have as many
opportunities for offensive rebounds/putbacks, which are his forte (I think
he's something like 4th in the league in offensive rebounds--amazing for a
guy 6'6" [his real height w/o shoes] who's going up against near
7-footers on a regular basis!).

CJ Has improved SO much this year. True I wanted him out at the end of last
year. Because he was not a good player. we saw flashes of what he can really
do. But this year, he has been much better. He is constantly playing hard and
getting good results. His shot has improved very much, and he is an exciting
player. I enjoy watching him play. He has matured very much and fits very well
into our system. I trust the Jazz, because they mostly sign good players. Once
they buy into Sloan's system, they are loved here. Unless you are a greedy
punk like Boozer. I'm Glad we kept CJ, and I hope he gets better soon.

Almond is an offensive killer. He can not pass and see no one on the court
except himself. The more I think about it, he sounds just like Miles.

I don't think they will mess with Milsap at all, he's doing just fine
in the positon he's in. With Booz's injury we don't have excess
bigs like we do at the 2 and 3.
And for all of you who are arguing if Korver/CJ/Almond/Brewer are 2's or 3's it's a mute point in the Jazz's system they are interchangable, furthermore any of the above can play either the 2 or 3. The biggest distinguisher is who they gaurd. Can Korver/CJ/Almond guard a quick 2 guard?
I hope they start Korver instead of miles. I think a change in the starting line up was coming soon anyway with how poorly the Jazz have been starting. Having two young guys in Brewer and CJ in the starting line up, esp CJ, was really hurting the Jazz. Starting Korver gives you a veteran who hustles on D and can stretch the defense. I'm not sure Almond gives you anything over CJ and whoever said Almond is a good defender isn't paying attention. He's trying harder this year_but_has_a_long_way_to_go_to_be_a_good_defender.

I think Almond will get the start and may essentially replicate, to a lesser
degree, what Millsap did when Booz went out. By that I mean he will probably
play better.
CJ has waaaaay more talent than Almond but it seems to have clicked with Almond that hard work and effort will make a difference in the NBA. CJ is not yet invested in playing hard every play. CJ is still just looking to get "his shots" off. CJ plays defends and rebounds just enough to prevent Sloan from yanking him...barely.
I hope not but CJ may turn out to be a big waste of talent and for no other reason than he has decided not to put ALL of his talent to good use--only the shooting/easy part.
No wonder most of these young kids take years to "get it" and by then there are only a few years left in their NBA careers.

If Almond was as good as you say then why doesn't your boy Sloan play him
all the time? Sloan loves a good defender and if Almond is all that I am sure
he would be on the floor. Well the truth is, he is not because he is not all
that good.

Almond is obviously not a great defender but he is certaibly better than when I
watched him in the D-league last year. The difference this year is that he is
trying and working hard and it has made a difference.

It's amazing to me that after the fact that Boozer found out that he needs
surgery that in today's sports world with all the money out there that he
had to wait two weeks to get a date!!! It's called "where

Your complte ignorance for the game is very evident. This game is supposed to be
played according to other teams and nightly match-ups, not by your paticular
height especially when we are only talking about a difference of an inch or two.
Get a clue it's about hard play, match-ups, and playing who's doing
the right things. Your logic is typical "now generation mentality. What
works on a computer game doesn't necessarily apply to the real deal. Let me
take the time to spell one word to you W O R K, have you ever heard of it? If
you need a definition I'll gladly give that also.

I am not saying he's the best player in the world by any means, but I do think he should get some more minutes.
When he has been in so far this season I have been impressed overall. Yeah, he's missed some easy shots, but other then that hasn't done anything bad. He rebounds and hustles on the defensive end(even a few blocks). He's great at taking the ball to the basket. I think if he gets more minutes he will improve and give us more then CJ does. I also disagree that CJ has more Potential then Almond does. Mainly because CJ doesn't have the right attitude and thats crucial.

old news dude--Boozer has a laceration on his leg near where they would be
operating and they were unable to operate until that laceration was healed in
order to decrease the chance of post surgical infection ie. staph etc.
I am sure you have read/seen all the stories about sports surgeries that go well but have secondary infections (Tom Brady, Matt Harpring et al)...wait a minute no I'm not sure you read about them because you missed what has been reported on Boozers laceration multiple times.

Work? I don't understand your word. I like the logic that Almond works
hard in practice with the implied comment that CJ doesn't do squat in
practice. Do you go to practice every day? CJ has improved his game more than
Almond or Korver have improved their games. If that were not the case, Sloan
would not play him. OH and I don't have an ignorance for the game, I just
choose to see it with some logic not with my emotions like you. You are the
same person who says, Get rid of Boozer or Boozer is a loser. As for me, I use
logic and understand we are not going anywhere in the playoffs without Boozer.
You emotionally want to play Almond because he looks good in his shorts where I
want to play CJ because logically he helps the team win.

Comcast is the best option for Jazz fans. I get every game...every game
available in HD, and DVR. I also get ABC in HD...DISH I know does not get ABC
in HD...I had DISH for 5 years and I'm happier so far with Comcast.

It doesn't matter who we start against the Pistons! Memo will always tear
them up. It will be interesting to see how well the Jazz do without Miles. I
honestly think they will go on a run, and like I've predicted all along...
Miles will end up on the bench by the end of the season. 22.9 Minutes a game is
way too much considering his low production. Time will tell.

We will see how much the Jazz miss Miles while he is out. My guess is that it will be more than most Jazz fans realise or would like to admit, but I could be wrong. Who knows the Jazz may gel and start to really progress as a team without him.
Eihter way, like I said, it should be interesting.
