Doctors who abuse their power to dispense drugs in the manner Cannon did deserve, in spite of his being contrite, the highest order of punishment. Plea deals are the hallmark of lazy prosecutors, lack of sufficient jail space and the government's attempt to save money at the public's expense. How can you call prescription drug abuse a plague and then slap the professional facilitators on the wrist when you would put me in prison for two years for handing over a dozen pills to a friend? This STINKS!

I am elated that he has lost his license to practice medicine. He is a heartless, inhumane Dr. Within days of my surgery I had an infection. He dared tell me it was my fault. I found out later he has the highest infection rate of any surgeon at a local hospital. My visit to his office was the most horrifying experience ever. To open my infected breast he inserted a pair of scissors and opened them to break the stitches. I WAS SCREAMING! I asked him why he couldn't give me a local shot for the pain. He told me he couldn't have drugs in his office or people would break in and steal them. What he did to me was torture. It took me months to heal. I had home nurses and had to go to the wound clinic. I had to pack my wound twice a day so that it could heal from the inside out. It sure is a relief to see that things have caught up with him and he won't be butchering any more patients. What he did to me is something I will never forget!
