Lee Benson: Car dealer sees losses accelerate

I bought a Mercedes from Jared a few months ago. It was a great deal with great service. I feel so bad for him and his situation. He is not deserving of these bad times and certainly not deserving of the moronic shots being taken at him in this comments section.

It would so nice for once that someone when they defend or attack that the do it by putting their money in their mouth.

But alas, typical mormon stuff, just a lot of hot air, but no substance.

I'd be curious as to how clean this Jared is if he were to be audited. I mean, even after he explains his registration with the state, I wonder if he did it before he actually bought his first vehicle to sell, or was it only after that he did it.

Only and audit would reveal that. Would he be willing to take that challenge just to make sure that the public and the government is assured?

I run a privately owned small business that sells products online--specifically eBay. I have found eBay�s feedback forum to be an excellent clue to a business� track record and history of customer service. I found that Specialties Auto also sells vehicles on eBay. I was surprised to learn that they have a 100% positive feedback rating on eBay. All of those vehicles sold-- likely sight unseen�and 100% positive feedback? As another eBay PowerSeller, that truly does say something.

Just like me, Jared is not the typical checkered tie, gold wearing, sleazy car salesman. He is a car lover that just happens to sell them for a living. I am also a upper end auto dealer in Bountiful and have come to know and respect Jared very much and consider him a one of my good friends. He will make it through this. He is a good man, good friend, father and husband. You can't put every car dealer in the same category, sorry. It doesn't work that way. I too have had a similar year, struggled and struggled to make it work and we are still around because of integrity and hard work. I know... I'm rambling. Jared, you will make it through this. I've known Jared for over 10 years. I went to school with the Young's of Young Automotive group. I still choose to buy cars from Jared.
