It looks like all the islams that have fled their own countries are the ones protesting this needed action by Israeal. Was this a planned demonstration for after Hamas began attacking and bombing civilians in Israel? If these protestors are against war then they should be condeming Hamas for his attacks, by air and terrorism.
It's sad that Americans are so poorly informed.
Hmmmmmm. Did these same demonstrators demonstrate against the indiscrimate killing of innocent people through the rocketry that Hamas used?
Hypocrisy. You are back.
Outside Utah and some other parts of the US there is a value placed on human life irrespective of religion or political affiliation. Protestors in many nations have opposed the high death toll amongst civilians whether they be on either side of the Israeli built wall.
As Israeli artillery has shelled a shopping mall and reported to have killed 23 civilians and 3 Hamas armed combatants, perhaps it will dawn on Americans that the land battle now generations old is not about the radicalised fighters of Hamas who are a symptom of extreme hatred. It is rather about the intransigent behaviour of Israel towards Arabs in lands it continues to attempt to drive people from.
Many people are calling for a ceasefire; not least because the current Israeli army positions have now cut off many of the Gaza population from the 3 hospitals. Staff cannot work there as they cannot pass Israeli occupying forces. The civilian death toll will be higher still.
The AP reports of protests do not convey the broad opposition to the violence. Do not forget that amongst the evacuees earlier this week were those of dual nationality from Gaza from many nations.
It's quite specious of you to suggest that United States citizens do not place value on human life because of religion or political affiliation. As for your argument that Israel evil machinations have been for the goal of driving Arabs out of their lands, that is complete nonsense. Arab Israelis do exist and peacefully coexist in the country of Israel, and they coexist because they know the truth, which is that Israelis want nothing but peace. However, it's hard to maintain peace when a neighbor insists on launching rockets into your country.
I am saddened by the loss of life incurred by innocent civilians, but it is not Israel that is to be blamed; it is Hamas. And many Gazans, though not all, support Hamas. Hamas is in fact the de facto governing entity in Gaza, and they are responsible for this backlash that Israel is inflicting. If a ceasefire is called, it will mostl likely go in the favor of Hamas. Israel bade Hamas to extend the six-month cease fire (which Hamas acutally broke periodically by firing into Israel for the last half of 2008). Instead, Hamas felt it necessary to "liberate" Palestine from the Jews.
You bleeding hearts are part of the problem. The terrorists see that they can get a rise out of you even though they are the cause of the whole situation, so they use innocents as human shields and then claim Israel(Americans/Bush/whoever) are "targeting innocents." In reality, the dirty rotten scumbag terrorists are targeting innocents so they can get a rise out of the likes of you and people like you, so they can in turn win the publicity war. But we are on to them even if you aren't.
Sense when is it terrorism to defend you land for those trying to steal it from you? Israel is a terrorist state. We have supported terrorism in Palestine.
The majority of Utahans stand for nothing. You wouldn't let Mexicans retake there homeland without a fight. You expect Arabs to just give up their homes and lands.
You defend criminal activity. Salt Lake was the promised land for Native Americans. Who in Utah is willing to hand it back?
We put up with murder from Israel. If we were being treated here like Israel, treats the people who lived successful in Palestine, it would be us launching rockets. I would lit the fuse.
One you leave, you loose your claim to the land everywhere on earth but in Israel and Cuba.
How can you worship a god who would support a criminal nation?
Israel is the terrorist.
